i desperately miss the HUD showing us how much time we have left with Quen up and running like in W2.

Gosh i miss it!
I noticed this too, I would like that as well. I saw some angry posts over at Witcher forums especially by people playing at Hard or "Dark".

yeah im playing on "dark" one below death march and the lack of vitality regen makes Quen really important.
Hrm, I have a little Quen timer on-screen in TW3... I haven't played TW2 much to compare out of the top of my mind though.
Bug perhaps?
Are you talking about Quen itself or one of the Quen buffs from a Place of Power? I don't get anything at all for Quen itself other than the graphical effect on Geralt himself.

Im just at the begining but I never used Quen, one hit and its gone ! better to dodge/sidestep enemies when they attack and then attack them, will take time, but that makes combat way more epic and feels like a real witcher :D

It's always better to dodge since armor only absorb partially in most games but Quen is in case you get surrounded or make a mistake. Without health regeneration, it's quite priceless and you don't have to waste as much money on food.

Now that I think about it, a timer isn't really necessary at least not as soon as you cast it but instead as a warning when it's perhaps 5 seconds left, that would be great. Takes up least amount of space and time on your HUD but a quick and good feedback. :)

Ah, you might be right on that afterall. I just remembered looking up and seeing a circular Quen timer with a green circle around it slowly declining and a countdown timer inside. I may have gotten that from touching some stone with a glowing light ball.
