I have a problem with the Witcher 3. Someties(usualy after I die and the game loads the latest autosave) the game stops responding although the audio still runs. The problem is that I cant exit the game even if I press alt f4 or ctr alt delete. The only option is to reset the pc. I have a Gtx 970. Thanks.

Before you start W3 right click on the task bar, and open Task Manager. When the game crash, use alt + Tab key to switch to Task Manager. In the processes, click on W3, then click end task. Give it a minute before you start W3 again. Or better yet restart your PC. When it happens to me sometimes there's a message about the driver had stoppped responding. So, that warrants a reboot.
check the event log, to see what is causing the game to hang

Desktop -> right click computer icon -> manage -> event viewer -> windows logs

and check both application and system logs

I assume windows 7

All the best

I would recommend to look for a driver update. I know from a friend that his Nvidea display driver hung up quiet often after he switched to Windows 10. So he updated his driver and the problem (driver hung up and restart itself) didn't happen that often.
Latest version (Windows 10 64 bit) is:
Version 355.60 - WHQL
Release Date Thu Aug 13, 2015
http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/89125

Just do it. If it doesn't help you still can wait for a Witcher 3 patch which will fix it.

Unfortunately I have this crash with versioon 355.60. It only occurs after I load the game a few times..
I have same problem.
Windows10, NVIDIA 355.60
Hope nvidia will release a stable driver soon. The game is amazing.
Same problems here. After Windows 10 update, I can not play more than a few minutes; through the GOG client or even on the stand-alone. Everything is up to date as far as drivers and patches, etc... Does GOG even read this forum? I contacted Customer Support and they never replied; its been over a seek!
The crash is caused by Nvidia 355.60. under windows 10
It crash/doesn't respond in time to Windows and windows recover it or at least try.
A desinstallation of Geforce experience help the process.
It won't prevent it dfrom crash but at least you would be able to ctrl+shift+esc to open the task manager and close W3 and restart it.

I know it doesn't really help and haven't tried with olders drivers.
My bet is a windows update that messed up with the display drivers.
All we can do is waiting for nvidia eitheir microsoft to fix it.
