Games was working 100% fine before the 1.06 patch now all i get is program has stopped responding when i try to load any save game :(

I am now also unable to even start a new game. Each time i get to the load screen the loading circle spins and spins forever but never makes progress. Cntrl alt del and it says program stopped responding

any way to revert back to 1.05? or any fix for this?

issue resolved by doing a full re-install and repatching the game. Pain in the ass but it worked

You could have tried the veryfy/repair option in Galaxy.

I have the same issue. I tried to verify/repair, but this not help.
