It may be because the "original version" is included with the enhanced edition.

Are you talking about Witcher 3 still? I have Complete Edition, not Enhanced (is that a thing?), and even right now when I check it it has 21 download files + hotfixes...

What language version, also? I'm talking about the English one. If I choose the Polish one, i get only 10 parts, + language pack, for a much smaller total size. Weird.

EDIT: apparently the Polish version is pre next gen. What a mess.

As far as I know, there has been The Witcher 3, The Witcher 3 GOTY, The Witcher 3 Complete Edition, and the new The Witcher 3 Enhanced Edition.

I was talking about the Enhanced Edition, English version. However, when I said 14 files of ~4GB and a 15th file of ~700MB I wasn't including the DLC, which I downloaded separately.

When I add everything up, it comes to ~80GB, and the original version plus DLC is ~50GB, so it seems that I guessed backwards originally --- the extra 30GB is because of the Enhanced Edition, and not because of the original content.
