seriously I dislike it even more when I screw up and when I want to quick load the game when for some god damn reason there is no quick load, which annoys me. One other thing i dislike the most is seeing the beginning cutscene relapse each and every time I load a save plus ITS UNSKIPPABLE!

seriously what's the big deal!?

I feel you dawg,same deal here... =)
The cutscene is used to mask the loading. It doesn't actually increase your loading time.

I'm running the game on an SSD and actual loading finishes 1-2 secs before the cutscene does. So unless you are running some sort of ridiculously priced RAID0 setup the cutscene is not hindering you in any way.

Would you rather look at a static screen or watch some art with a voice over? I'd rather do the latter.

That's exactly what they said about Mass Effect.
But when you cut out the movies, the load times reduced dramatically.
Never mind, wrong topic.

You are actually right. Your post got me thinking that maybe my testing wasn't extensive enough so I went in and did some further tests. This was all done an SSD so HDD results will vary greatly.

While what I said previously is true for the first loads in your play sessions (only 1-2 seconds of cutscene is unnecessary) further loads and especially death loads take considerably less time and are essentially done in a few seconds.

The rest is just the cutscene delaying everything. Would be nice if they were skippable.
They are skippable. Just keep pressing the skip key (space bar by default) and the cutscene will fade out as soon as the background loading is finished.

For me, and I'm not on a SSD, it's usually shortly after the first slide.

These loading narratives annoy me more than just about any other problems with the game. I too am running the game from an SSD, and can shorten the narrative by pressing the X button (360 Controller) repeatedly (there is no prompt).

Why couldn't they just put static loading screens like in Skyrim with level art??
It would not be so bad if it showed them once, then ticked them watched.

Actually makes me cringe when I have to load, which mars an otherwise very enjoyable experience.

I am one of those people who HATE those "Last time on ..." scenes that they place on TV series, like these ones in Witcher 3. I don't have a memory like a sieve.

You can disable the re-cap intro videos completely by following these steps:
http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Witcher_3#Skip_intro_videos

Other than that as mentioned, spam space bar and it'll skip when the game has finished loading.

A Quick Load button would be awesome. I thought this is a basic thing to have in a game...

They are skippable. Just do a right click while it's talking. If it's done loading it will take you into the game immediately.

the guy who said it doesnt delay is right -- as long as you are pressing spacebar/x button that is. i didnt notice how long load times are until i finally paid attention at one of the non-dandelion screens, it does take a bit (not surprising at all given everything its loading). but it also made me notice just how much longer it FEELS when the voiceover is going, i would rather see a load bar with tips or w/e, than hear the same narrative for the 1000th time.
