I can't belive that in 2016, you install a piece of software without read/learn what it does, and after using it, you try to blame others for something , supposedly, not doing...

Buy a dictionary or go online and look up the word "backup". If it's that important to you, you'd have done it... or not.
Sorry to hear about losing your game progress. Galaxy is still in beta and they're adding more functionality to it in the (near) future. Some time ago they added view store page/forum options to the menu which is very nice. It's nothing new for Steam users but I was waiting for this to happen on Galaxy a long time.

Hopefully they will add a (volunteer) option to enable cloud storage in the future. Untill then you could try Dropbox for online storage. You'll have to upload the savegames yourself now and then.
i don't see why clouyd is sooo important. i've had cloud games get updated and overwrite my cloud data with blank data making cloud worse than no cloud. just dropbox your witcher 3 saves. i do
I do not have any of these problems since Windows 10. The OneDrive tool keeps my files up to date on the Windows cloud. You should consider activating this to avoid problems in the future. When using Windows 7 however, u might consider backing up your files by yourself.
