I just purchased Witcher 3 GOTY and although it loads up, it's pretty much unplayable as I only get about 1-5 fps on lowest settings and at 1280x720 resolution. I would like to request a refund. I will probably repurchase this game when I upgrade my video card (I have an NVIDIA GeForce 530), but that's not happening anytime soon. This is the first refund I've ever requested and I've purchased more than 230 games.

I don't think you will get a refund for it.

No offense, but I don't even think they should give you one since it's solely your fault.
You bought a game which has minumum requirements (it's common sense to read those before buying a game) far above what your PC is able to, it's obvious without even trying that it can't work.

Then it's completely your fault. The minimum requirements are clearly stated on the game page. Why should they give you a refund?
While minimum specifications for games are often inaccurate - with The Witcher 3 being no exception here - it is pretty clear that your 530 is a far cry from anything listed on the requirements.

Nonetheless, I'd still ask the support and tell them that you just didn't know better. If you previously bought a lot of games, I'm sure there's some probability of an exception.
I think you will find GOG to be very understanding about a refund within the first 30 days. The earlier the better Let them know.

Naturally, that doesn't excuse your rather unsensible move of buying a product that was clearly stated would not work with your equipment.

Give it a try - you have nothing to lose. And, get that PC upgraded, huh? You're missing out...

Have you tried turning Nvidia Hairworks off you will gain some fps. Also if you plan to repurchase why would you not keep it now at the super low price.
