Hi all,

I bought Hearts of Stone expansion recently. Hooray, so what's the problem? Well, I live in place with really poor Internet connection (like 0,2 Mbs download) and I can only play W3 on my desktop computer. Expansion requires updated version of W3 and it takes about 15 GB to download. So, I want to install W3 and expansion on my laptop, bring it to somewhere with broadband net, download all nedded data and tranfer whole thing to my desktop at home via USB.

Will it work? Have anyone tried it? What about registry entries?

Just do it the easy way. Download the patch and the addon as installers (e.g. with your browser or GOG downloader). Download them on a place with fast internet and copy the files on a flash-drive (e.g. USB stick or an external hard drive). Then just install both on your local PC.

Thanks a lot, I have no idea, why it didn't occur to me ;d

I worked (almost) perfectly - it seems that if free dlcs were instlled, they must be reinstlled after Hearts of Stone installation.
