My game performed flawlessly without any crashes for 90 hours. upon arrival to the isle of mists, after the save prompt came up, the game loaded and the cutscene where geralt arrives there plays. without fail, the game always crashed there. The next time i started the game I skipped the cut scene and there was no crash. I had figured I fixed the issue. I contine to follow the path in the boat until I got to a particular point where a sirens attack your boat. I killed the siren, saved, and continued on. Each time I try to move forward from there the game crashes imediately. I can go anywhere else, but the minute I try to continue on the correct path my game just closes. I could really use some solution here. I cant verify my game cache for some reason as it is perpetually stuck at 0% progress. My GOG, drivers, and game are all current and up to date.

You never mentioned anything about your rig and its capabilities. The Isle of Mists boat ride is crammed full of lighting and particle graphics that are not normally in the game (water reflections et al.), therefore the graphics requirements go up as well. To test if this is an issue with your rig, save your game if you already haven't, quit to the main menu and set all of the graphics to low, just to get you to hard ground on the island.

Thank you for the response. I figured out the issue. I had an evga overlay for my video card on to report fps and vram usage and after disabling my it my game continued to work correctly.
