westsai: Redeemed my code, downloaded the necessary files, but unable to get the game installed
I'm getting this message:

Installation failed with code: -3: Checksum error
Please restart the installer and try again
If the problem persists, please contact Support

Just wondering if anyone else has run into the same problem, if so, how do i fix this?

jlowe92: You dont have to re-download all the files, just check file integrity first, it will tell you which files are damaged , then you can just redownload those files.

Absafraginlootly: I am having this exact error - I don't want to redownload because the download is huge and australian internet is slow, not to mention it would use up my purchased internet download amount effectively costing my money. Since I manually downloaded the 7 parts right from the site I was hoping to identify the problem file and just redownload that.

I used this site's 'how to' to run a checksum: pcsupport.about.com/od/software-tools/ht/verify-file-integrity.htm
Using the -sha for the end (not that I know what any of this means)

I have the numbers but I have nothing to compare them to. Would someone whose installation worked fine consider running a check and posting the numbers for those with errors to compare to?

my "setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28.exe", "setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28-5.bin" and "setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28-6.bin" all have the same hashes as yours but the others are different

Absafraginlootly: Okay so we can assume those 3 are correct and for the remaining 4 either one or both of us has it wrong.

If more people post theirs we can probably figure out the right ones collectively.
