The Witcher 3 has been out a month now and still no improvement in the download servers!
It took me three hours to download 900mb last night with a half dozen lost connections.
You describe yourself as "partners in crime" with cd project red: cd project red has produced the best rpg of all time while you twiddle your thumbs and do nothing to improve your service. So I ask you "who is committing the crime" ? You have no rollback implemented yet on the patches and my game has become unplayable because of crashes since patch 1.06 so I must wait for the next patch and your interminable downloads!
I am a man slow to anger but your incompetence has rattled my cage

Stay off of Galaxy!
The account at GOG and the GOG downloader (or any other downloader, like the IDM) are working pretty well, even with low traffic.
Rollback included.
I tend to always top out on my download speed on gog, including galaxy.

Are you sure it's not your shitty internet provider?
Can't blame everything on GoG. It took years for Steam to get where it is today, millions of patches, and many more to come.

They're also dependent on their service providers too. You can see they've had issues stemming from their verizon cdn's.

All said, I've never had an issue downloading.

Just last night, I was downloading a 25GB game on Steam that, at times, slowed to a crawl, as low as 95 KB/s and as high as 9 MB/s.

We're all at the mercy of 3rd parties that do the file hosting and every little pipeline along the way.

GoG does feel a bit amateur at times, but for other reasons. They'll get there.

No problem downloading here, took me 4hrs to download the game with my Iphone hotspot using 3G in rural Ireland with Galaxy.

The only time I've experienced slow downloads and lost connections from gog, was when my OS drive was failing.
Just downloaded four of the 4gb install files for a reinstall, and it only took a couple of minutes for each.
I've never had any trouble with Galaxy either... Well... actually something weird happened when I was downloading the game where my computer tried to shut down just as I finished downloading it but it worked fine in the end.
I've had quite a few problems with the client itself, however download speeds are perfectly fine here, it

takes seconds to for me dl 200mbs on the client. I'm hard wired in ethernet with the Xfinity 105 blazing package though.

this could be throttling or some other as of yet unknown issue with your ISP or possibly conflicting software. You are

also in the UK , It may be of much greater help and more conclusive to get reports from others in your local area in

ruling out some of the possible variables.

(gigabit connection coming here soon can't wait to ditch concast for much better service and speeds)

I don't have any problem with Galaxy either. Maybe it's your internet provider.

I bet it is. I have not had any issues downloading anything and I've used both GOG and Galaxy. In fact I'm just using Galaxy now.
