My computer starred crashing and I was able to pull files off the hard drive before too late.

I installed Witcher 3 on my new Windows 10 PC and made a saved game so I could find where to copy my Witcher saves. No luck.

Where do I put my Witcher saves?

When you start Witcher 3, you'll see the option to import the save.

If it's not there and only offers a simulated save, it hasn't detected it.
My docs/The Witcher 3/saves.
Both wrong. It's...

Also, you should NOT copy Witcher 2 saves to Witcher 3 savegame folder. Witcher 3 expects them to be in their original folder.

Nope.
I think there are 2 different suggestions here - to import a Witcher 2 save (to pick up those decisions made) and to place Witcher 3 saves in the proper directory. Follow whichever suggestion you need for your case.

That's probably my fault, I thought he wanted to import a save game based on the thread title.

Anyway, to clarify:

Witcher 3 saves: \Documents\The Witcher 3\gamesaves\

Witcher 2 saves so W3 detects it: \Documents\Witcher 2\gamesaves

I want to copy Witcher 3 saves from an old computer to a new one. Will try to directory mentioned above.
