First of all please elaborate what you're trying to import.
Then, are you going to use usb to keep the backup installer there or to install the game? Later can be troublesome because TW3 requires 35 GB of free space, though installed game occupies only 24.5 GB.
In general what are you trying to achieve?

I would not recommend that, unless you want to enjoy constant 10 minute loading screens.

Well, if it's usb-3 then it may be achievable, but I'd rather go for an external drive (usb-3 of course) as it has better performance.

If you were talking about importing in Galaxy, then this post will help you.

Overall, I think you can do it with a good external usb-3 drive with at least 35 GB of free space. But you still can try using your usb, no harm in that.

Still USB drive would be much slower in real life than HDD/SSD. It doesn't matter that the maximum speed of USB3 is high enough, it's the fact that USB drive itself is slow. Instead I would recommend download stanalone installer after game releases (22Gb) and just install it from USB drive to different PCs.
Just select the game, click More, select Download Extras in drop down menu and select installer under column Game Installer.

I mentioned that drives have better performance.
And I'd recommend using Downloader for bulky stuff, not Galaxy.
