Hi there. I want to bought The Witcher 3 on GOG. By now I had the game in my Steam library, but want to buying GOG version. Thing is, my computer isn't very powerfull. So. I'm not interested in 4.0 version. I know that owners of GOTY version had free access to Standard edition and after upgrade, they still have links to GOTY version on shelf. But what with new buyers?

Buy the game and look for a torrent of version 1.32 I had the steam version the game became unplayable for me I remembered that the gog version can be installed from a file and I got it by torrent.

P.d: In my gog account only the patch 1.31 to 1.32 appears, I don't have the installer version 1.31, that's why I got the torrent

Check the Extras downloads, it should show at the bottom as "Witcher 3 GOTY Classic (1.32)" Part 1 to Part 10. Also it's actually 1.31 so you'd also need the patch.

So "classic" on GOG is or isn't available?

The classic one is now attached like an Extra. You can find that option to download it under GOG Galaxy.

Some players are reporting that the direct link for the classic one is broken but they managed to get it working by simple switching some letters.

There is also a very well know website that have only GOG games for download, that i won't mention here, that you can find the 1.32 there.

Luckly my gog galaxy is set to not download the updates in auto mode, so i can still keep using the classical version. No point for me to add 40+ GB of files

yes it is available under "extra" downloads. i recommend just playing this amazing version of the game.

you should just completely ignore this new horrible next-gen update that just completely ruins this amazing game with tons of new technical issues and horrible performance while hardly improving the visuals of the game.

If I had to guess I'd say they handed this next-gen update project over to their intern and junior developer division and they had no idea what they were doing and this is the result.

I'm starting to think about buying Standard Edition and expansion pass separately. If nothing changed I received Kompletę Edition anyway, and GOTY 1.32, Hearts of Stone 1.32 and Blood and Wine 1.32 also. Few bucks more, but at least I will have anything.

If I buy DLC pass both addons will be displayed separately on shelf?

Get the Complete edition here on Gog. It is on sale right now and cheaper than buying the standard version plus dlcs. You will still get the classic version under Extras (10 parts). If you install with Gog Galaxy be sure to change to "Classic" beta channel in Configuration > Manage Installation. Don't do this. There are a bunch of Gog installers in the wild with trojans injected in them.
If you buy the game people still have access to the classic version.
