No cloud save and Xbox player are already playing Blood and Wine. I tried to support them by buying it from GOG but no more.

I am going to continue buying from CDPR because I want 100% of my money to go directly to CDPR as opposed to giving 30% to Microsoft or mr. Gabe Newell. I am of an extremely radical opinion that playing a videogame a day or two later is not really a big deal.

Exactly. I want CDP to make money with their games and not whomever else.

Also, cloud functionality is something you can super easy add yourself.

Just take whatever random free cloud service like https://www.pcloud.com/ and have it sync your witcher saves. In comparison with Steam it's even better, because you can sync/upload everything you want there and not just game saves.

And MS just published that stuff on their own, CDP wanted them to publish this simultaneously. They might not do that again in the future.

How utterly petty!

With "mklink" it doesn't even require any work, with the exception of setting it up.

Hmm - do you really think that getting crappy pictures with the XBox (shitstorm coming?) is really worth the "benefit" of playing the expansions a few hours earlier then the rest? :)
You will not find any other better dev than CDPR.
B&W on pc here.

I agree CDPR is one of the finest Devs out there but I don't think it's disrespectful to want them to be a better publisher, distributor and platform.

If we had cloud saving I wouldn't have lost 4 days worth of progress when Witcher 3 came out and Galaxy ate my installation completely. Support was a joke. A better GOG can only be good for the game industry.

Cloud saves are coming to Galaxy eventually, right? I imagine it's not a trivial thing to add in, particularly with varying game save file sizes, number of people opting in, old games with strange saving methods etc. Steam has been around a long time, but cloud saves were not there from day one.
Cloud save is worthless and actually, if you see it for what it trully is, a mere HINDRANCE to the gamer. In steam, should you ever need to delete your saved game from one (or more) game(s) permanently and start from Zero, you need to tamper with settings and synchronicity between client and local files, through a rather time consuming and not entirely fail-proof procedure, which is pure bugging. Being able to directly manage your own stuff is always a wonderful thing; but not intended for lazies, i must say...

If you are an average, regular, typical console player though, on the other hand, this explains much... And leaves much more to be desired, not...

Each to her/his own, but I picked GOG exactly for the facts that there had been no client, no cloud.
Might be a control freak, but managing content on my machine with not a thing dictating me how to act simply can not be beat.
Just look at the garbage that Galaxa is able to produce - not for me....
Yeah ok, no cloud save can be great for some but if a client is going to be offered I prefer not to be palmed off if it removes literally days of progress. That's a pretty big "hindrance" to my gaming.

Galaxy is offering what exactly (if it worked like it should)?
- it might manage your files, downloads, etc.
- you will have achievements >>> that is the one thing I never quite understood: what is that much great if you get the confirmation that you actually had visited x-many places in game, that you had eradicated y-many foes, that you had owned z-many objects andwhatnot?
I have even seen post of folks that stopped playing W3 because they could get no achievement under Galaxy.
I simply do not get it...
