light487: At what point in the tutorial does it warn you that proceeding further will make an integral NPC disappear from the place they own and work at??

You're taking the complaint out of the context it was intended in so you could troll the forums. Go away.
Chill. I was most certainly not trolling. Nothing was taken "out of the context it was intended in." I missed out on the card as well. I don't feel that I was cheated out of content by the designers of the game, however.

Also, this integral NPC left White Orchard for a reason, and you see her again later. She moved on. The tutorial does not need to tell you that lol. It is in Novigrad, I believe, that she pops back up.

Then perhaps, a notice could have helped :)

prottenstein: Sorry, mate, but I don't understand your rant.

About dropping the potions, you are right. It's the player lacking attention.
About the cards of the innkeeper there's no way to know in advance they will disappear. When I make my choices in each dialogue I pay a lot of attention to them. I won't reload to make another choice.
But at the end of the prologue you are forced. If there was the possibility to change the story I'd be with you, but this case is similar to Letho winning after being beaten like hell in TW2
Oh, mostly I was ranting about the failure to read the tutorial for the new alchemy design. I guess I could have separated my thoughts a little better. The card issue I simply view as "Oh, I missed it. I'll catch it next time," where several people here feel it's a bigger issue. The two are not connected, I apologize for the lack of clarity!

All right, I've been converted: MAYBE they should have made these cards available elsewhere after she left her business in White Orchard. Realistically, would she not have sold them to someone else that maybe you could have played again and earned from? Or sold them to another merchant you could have bought them from? I agree on this front now. Disregard my assault on the "card complainers" ;)

However, my rant against failure to read tutorials is still in full swing.

No need to apologize. I'm one of the scrub I missed the clarity of the tutorial even if a friend told me about the alcool. :P
But I like the new design and it gives me a new way to make money . :)

Edit: I read many notices.... I knew about the Baron's quest long before undertaking it.... I think a bit of information could have been better.
Anyway you are right about the tutorials.
We, players, overlook them but they are important.

ruthan666: Sorry, tutorial is part of poor design, there is too much hints at the start of game, im playing games more that 20 years so, i realy dont need 90% such text. I found one 25 level in Velen, im now lvl 12, so i need other one. Bad luck is that griffin potion is strong one, especialy for boss fights => im a bit looped.
So because you don't read information readily available to you it is poor design? Dunno. Sounds like you just don't want to read the pertinent information to learn how things work, instead of assuming you already know.

Oh yeah. I totally agree with you. I am not saying I didn't miss anything (Blacksmith/Armourer: Big difference ha), I have failed more than one quest that I forgot about, assuming that they'd stick around like other games, all mistakes I've made... BUT I just won't blame the designers when I do something stupid :P I slap myself on the head and get back in it. Lol trust me, this game has given me a good challenge, but I'm lovin' it.

Oooh. I'm slowly straying off the paths of enlightenment to the void of extraneity. My bad.

I destroyed a kingdom for the plague....
Would you blame me? :P

But I prefer to fail some quests for a deliberate choice (poor Toruviel in TW1) than failing because design choice. Anyway thanks for the necessary spoiler :)

You sound like lawyer, not like proper man. Design should be intuitive, clean and straightforward if isnt is flawed, maybe you could try use Linux a while to understand that.

I use linux, if not regularly. The design WAS straight forward and intuitive. They told you "Aspect A functions like this" and wouldn't you know it, it does. I'm not trying to pick a fight or anything. I was stating that it was spelled out explicitly in game, you you claimed the information was no where to be found, and therefore bad design. It's like the people I tech support.
"My computer stopped working and popped up an error message"
"What did the message say?"
"I don't know, I just clicked ok."

Same kind of thing. How do you know information is unimportant if you never read it to begin with?
Hmm, i now lvl 33 near of end of game i think, i killed 2 other archgriffins and still without this potion, mutagen, so only valid solution is console.
