I apoligize but personally I prefer to wait until the game becomes polished to a mirror sheen and if possible all the content comes out.

I also liked to ask how long did it take for Wticher 2 to get its Enhanced Edition since its launch?

I highly doubt it will be anytime soon, since they'll be working on two expansions.
They have not promised an Enhanced Edition and, IIRC, they have actively dispelled the idea that it was a sure thing.

I don't know if they'll do it; W3 is much longer and more spread out than either W1 or W2.
Heh, you said "polished" about a Polish developer. Try that pun for any other country!

This IS the enhanced edition (delayed for many months); you may wait a while if not forever if you want a perfect game. I played the Witcher 2 enhanced edition 3 times and it still had quite a few bugs and bad performance problems in places (yes, Ubersampling off). No game is perfect, no matter how hard the developers try.

I have put off playing the game since patch 1.06, but it was quite playable up to mid second act (a few hours after entering the mist) where I left off and had immense enjoyment from it. I juggle games around like I do with books, hence the break.

You may want to wait for the Triss patch though to get maximum satisfaction :)
The two expansions are a ways off, and if you play now you can take a break and then build up excitement to play the expansions when they come out.

Flaws and all, this is still one of the few games where full price is fully worth it (and I don't say that lightly!)

I feel like the patches have actually introduced more bugs than I ever encountered on my first playthrough.
The game is already in a really good state, it certainly was much more polished than Witcher 1 and 2 on their releases were. While there still are some minor things I hope they'll fix/improve, overall there isn't as much left to do. Just trying to say, that I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't going to do a EE this time, the quality level in the game is really high, especially for a game this size and with so many quests in it.

If you are interested in playing, there is no reason why you should delay. I finished the game before 1.08 and I had minor problems in like 3 out of 200+ quests. One quest offers the option of Geralt not just returning with info about the questgivers relatives, but also with a dowry, but even if you find the chest, it can't be opened, so when you turn in the quest, Geralt will always say that he didn't find anything else. Again, I hope they will still fix even stuff like this, but compared with way too many other games I've played, the problems in Witcher 3 are hardly worth mentioning. On weekends I've played this game for like 10 hours in a row and there weren't even any crashes, nothing...
