I'm new to GOG. How do I know which patches are installed for a game and how do I install new ones. Like where do I place them in the game folder?

If you're using Steam it's patched automatically provided you are online. It's the same with Galaxy. You can find the version on the menu screen.

If you're having trouble with the automatic download through GOG Galaxy, select 'Account->Library' from any page on GoG.com, you from there you should find The Witcher 3 in your library, click on it and select downloads. Here you can download all the patches manually and install them manually.

From the GOG Galaxy application, you can basically find the patch in the same place under The Witcher 3, click the more drop down and you should find the downloads for it there. This will be a slightly more automated process than downloading from the webpage.

If you're running steam version, i'm not sure if these manual patch installs will work, but steam should patch it automagically.

Ah, that explains everything. Thanks for clueing me in.
yes stupid, because NO WAY could anyone POSSIBLY google the topic and come back to this post, I mean, I did, but I MUST be unique and special... NO WAY would it then be helpful to point out that this isnt true. F#%$ing moron.... Way to go 3 years back to justify your stupidity. I also once said that the people on gog are self absorbed losers with no life, no friends and no money....does that explain everything? To me it does, loser.....

My post explained yours, nothing more.
The post I'm now quoting also explains you(rs).

People with no friends usually have poor social and communicative skills and often have issues properly addressing people. Your post shows some fine examples of that.

The Galaxy part of the reply you quoted was correct. I don't use Steam, so can't say anything about that.
