(minor spoilers regarding how i got this lvl 14 quest)
Dijxstra suggested me a plot to kill king radovid and tbh i don't even know why he asked me this, even geralt himself said he don't kill kings (and i add - not even plotting for that goal), adding to the fact in the witcher 2 we fought the king(s) slayer letho .... i don't want to accept this quest but ... its a quest ...... should i just ignore it or take it anyway just to be done with another quest ? what u guys did ?

You can take it, you won't ever be a kingslayer :)

There are 3 possible outcomes for Redania:

1. Radovid defeats Emhyr. Massive witch/non-human/herbalist/healer (etc.) hunt begins. 'Freedom' worse than servitude.
2. Emhyr wins and rules the entire north. Temeria is made a vassal state of Nilfgaard.
3. Dijkstra kills his fellow king-slayer plotters to prevent Temeria signing truce with Nilfgaard. He secures Redania and stops senseless mage hunts. Economy and industrialisation boom.

To get either 2 or 3 you MUST complete this quest, and 3 other quests later on in the game.

Take it, if only for the sake of reconnecting with yet another old friend.

God damn it man...You sure about the 3rd outcome? That would be great but I don't want to kill those king-slayer plotters :/

Yep, he comes in quoting poetry, and then states there will be no truce. His men appear and he gives Geralt the chance to just walk away.

Edit: Note that Geralt does not do the killing, he just has to walk away, and have nothing more to do with it. It's a really bitter pill, but if you can look past Dijkstra -- all leaders are corrupt -- and think of the people, it's the best ending.

Damn....Nilfgaard is bad, Radowid is bad, Dijkstra is weird, scary, and bad....I kind of liked Roche. However, regaining Temeria at a cost of millions of innocent lifes? Damn...that man is nuts.

Roche would have made a terrible ruler. He's a hot headed idealist, and naive to the trappings of real (political) power. Great spy, lousy head of state.

That is true. On the other hand, why should I get involved in the first place? People are not standing up for each other. They would sell their kin for a mear copper. Why should I decide about their fate and care about their well being? During my 2nd playthrough I witnessed more than I should :P I think this time I will just ignore the whole thing. I am moving to Kovir in the end after all :D

Neutrality does have its price.

Somehow I do not mind. I get the best woman on the face of this world who will support me until I die, and this will take me a while, peace and quiet, not to mention ocassional freelance contracts to not get out of shape. Is there a place like Kovir in real life? Let me know if you find it :P

Oh of course it's your choice, and as long as it works for you it's a good one.
Who can really predict what you do today can affect things so dramatically in the future?

Besides, who said Witchers should be responsible for these problems?
