So after a 14+ hour nightmare after installing patch 1.07 & having to download the game a further 3 times, this game has gone from a 99% perfect masterpiece of a game to a 50% ok game. Once I finally got the game reinstalled, it's become very choppy, slow, it times out during loading screens and most recently crashed my entire computer. WTF is going on CDPR? You said in an article that you didn't want to announce the release date for the patch in case something happened and the gamers started calling you incompetent. Though I appreciate the sentiment, I think the incompetency comes, not from neglecting to provide a release date, but for releasing an extremely flawed and game ruining patch. Before the update, the worst thing that happened was the game turned off after hours of playing. Now I can't hardly play at all with the pisspoor performance hit. Please CDPR, patch the patch. You ruined what would have easily been the GOTY or even GOTD, but now this game shall stay dormant while I play other GOTY competitors until you can sort this shite out. I'm hoping you do it quick, because I really do/did love this game until you "fixed" it, & I'm not even experiencing everything many other people are. You have taken all the fun out of this game. If I didn't pay near half price for this game, I'd be upset rather than disappointed. Right now I'm just sad that this epic game has become epic shite.
When I got my game running after the patch, I noticed that almost all of my video settings had been changed including hairworks with new features. You might want to check those settings.

It even says when you first start the game after installnig the patch that all settings have been reset due to the addition of new settings.

Rollback to 1.06 if you can, I've had a performance hit myself, but "a 99% perfect masterpiece" to "50% okay game" over technical issues is a strange way to score.

Personally its tied for me with Bloodborne, which had framerate and loading issues.
Well downloaded the patch this morning and all went fine. No 14+hrs and reinstalling 3 times.
Installed the patch. Got a warning settings were back to default.
Checked my settings started the game and got no issues so far.
So far so good.

I can understand your questioning of my rating and here is how I justify it..... Before the patch, my game ran flawlessly on ultra settings, with the grass density on High and the worst thing that happened was a rare crash after many hours of play. Given how awesome the graphics are and the phenomenal voice acting and all round excellent game play, I gave it a 99%, with the 1% being, in part, my lack of willingness to give anything a 100% rating plus the rare crash. Since the patch, my game crashes frequently, there is a ton of stutter, the load screens take minutes now vs seconds and the last time I played, it brought down my entire rig. This makes the game almost unplayable. Given that I can't really enjoy playing the game anymore, I would have dropped my rating far lower except I know this game still has potential to be fixed & at that time, I'll go back to 99%, but right now it's just a pretty looking game if I don't move much and can handle constantly restarting the game or my computer to keep playing.

Congratulations and I hope you don't have these issues. This is an excellent game and I want to pour hundreds of hours into it, but until the bugs get worked out for my system, it'll be a frustrating go at it. I keep telling myself to set it aside, but I am also drawn into the story and I want to finish it. I am very tempted to try to play again tonight, but I just fear the problems will persist and throw me into a fit of rage.

I actually understood before, sometimes I'm too compulsive. I get it though, I was furious with AK but that was garbage from the start, rock-bottom settings on a high-end PC. What I played on the PS4 was good though, a shame how they released it for us.

Can you rollback though? That should help, I would unless you really need the stash. I had issues with crashes frequently too; I had to put my GPU's power limit down, plus my core and memory clock a tad. Game seems to be sensitive to overclocking, my GPU's are factory OC. Its been working great since, no more freezing or crashing.

Patches do reset settings, that's been reported almost two months ago and nobody tried to fix that. While resetting video settings is not that rocket surgery, resetting controls is a bit more tedious.
Having that in mind, I can't say I see a lot of visual degradation, if any, bar slight FPS hit in Crossfire (haven't tried single GPU mode, after all, I completed game and don't really have anything to do), and some stuttering. New controls response seems to be faster, but no reaction of fast tap is still there.
Downloading was problematic, that's for sure, slow speed (at 100Mbit channel), several "cannae download dis because reasons" (I especially liked "out of room" complain - 500GB is not enough?) and I didn't even tried to downloaded that during first two days after release!
In Europe the weather got really hot recently, don't know about which part of US you're from but maybe your recent instability has been caused by overheating. Leave something running in the background that will record temperatures of CPU, GPU and HDD (I use the free HWmonitor) and see, how high they get. Overheated CPU and/or GPU would explain your lower performance and crashes as well.

DSmall417: So after a 14+ hour nightmare...
the game was readjusted, and things were included, and the more inclusions, the heavier it becomes and your computer will start to suffer.

long story short, the old ULTRA is the new HIGH, and the new ULTRA is not for your pc, apparently.

so just go to graphic configs and set things to high... not ultra (ultra is a "graphic card selling" setting... it is only for those who spent loads of money on the latest tech, because they need to justify themselves the heavy spending with new features, and the graphic card companies who help financing the game ask for that, or else they wont have reasons to sell their latest tech for high prices, just for you to have a hair working)

but the game told you the graphic settings were reseted due to the patch, and you didn't care to look at that, that's what it seems.

No.. I looked and made all the same changes for my settings and adjusted for the new Hairwork options as well. I have made the necessary changes to get my framerate back & maintain near Ultra Settings, but there is still a long pause during loading screens and numerous sidequests seem to time out and force a restart. But the game is still playable, but more patches and bug fixes are needed asap.

Do you mean AC Unity?

As above this port, Arkham Knight. Unity is a game I wasn't happy with too on PC, but I didn't like the gameplay either. I won't get into that here though but as a huge stealth fan, it let me down quite a bit.
