Hi,

I can't play because I have so many problems with your application (GOG) !

1) I just can't update the game from GOG, it says it is checking the files. It is always at 0% !
After a moment it tells me that i don't not have enough space (180GB Free!!!) and it tells me it failed to install, and then it retries to install and still stuck at 0% !!!

2) I can't attach a simple picture taken with snipping tools because it does not recognize the .PNG format.

3) I can't play the game normally because it does not accept my saving files, saying i am trying to launch an unknown version of the backup (because i reinstalled my computer and i am unable to normally update the game from GOG!).

What am i supposed to do in order to PLAY MY GAME ? I even purchased the GOTY edition and was almost at the end of the game !

If you have no mods installed, simply delete the game folder and reinstall it from scratch.
Your settings, and saves are stored in the documents folder.

First Pic is GOTY v1.31 in Galaxy
Second pic is showing an old v1.30 from 2016, and it looks like it's saying the save is for a newer version.

Chargement imppossible car la Sauvegarde a ete effectee avac une version plus recente du jeu
Loading is not possible because savegame has been created with a newer version of the game

So your save was made with v1.31, and you can't use v1.30 to play it.

Looks to me like you used an old backup, instead of downloading the latest classic installer, or Galaxy Backup installer.

I assume you've not modded the game, as you should know all this if you had.
I must warn that deleting the game folder deletes the mods as well.
Most mods only use the "Mods" folder, but some have files/folders elsewhere.

Your settings, and saves are stored here;
C:\Users{YOUR USER NAME FOLDER}\Documents\The Witcher 3

They are not affected by changes to the game folder, and are safe.
A regular backup is always advised, manual, or use Galaxy Cloud saves feature.

The default Games folder location for Galaxy is
C:\GOG Games\
Simply delete the entire game folder
The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt GOTY

Then reinstall the game v1.31, using either
Galaxy (easiest)
Galaxy Backup installer
Classic Installer (Manual download from Galaxy website, and my preference).

That should fix the problem you're having, an d let you load that save.
