SNaKeYGR: I play the non GoTY editon with all dlc and expa installed.
I dont suffer from shuttering but i cant get the overlay to work.
Shift+ tab just opens my quick menu.
Have all the options checked in the galaxy option menu.
Checking the "installed" option ingame shows all the dlc but not overlay.
Just few minutes ago i run the Verify/Repair otion but didnt fix the overlay not showing up when i use shift+tab
Every time i exit TW3 i get a notification that saves are synced on the lower rigth corner.

Edit: i have no mods installed. Only programs that are running in the backround are
Nvidia recording tools, RivaTuner OSD for temps and mem readings.
GOTY edition, i closed msi afterburner + rivatunerstatistics and the overlay worked finally

edit: modded is working too. btw shatters happen alot in forests (rather than fields) or is my idea?

@nikalpak

Closing MSI afterburner indeed made overlay work !!!!
But i prefer to have Afterburner run then having the overlay.
I use Afterburner as a temp and overclocking tool in many games and also in TW3.

Hope some Dev of Galaxy notice this and can take some action.
It may be the root of other problems related with overlay.

But for the time i will stick to having OSD and be safe then having a fancy gimmick.

thekersy100: is that what it is- just an overlay problem? i was playing last night and doing one of the horse racing quests and it was a nightmare! word to the wise- DON'T RACE WITH THE LAGGING GLITCH!!!!

BTW, how do you actually disable it?

odomi2: Under the settings from the game you want to play. There you can select or deselect ingame overlay, cloud sync etc,,
where in the options though? i've been through all of them and nothing even says 'overlay' and i can't find anything to turn off cloud syncing either (i know the game play, but i'm not well versed in computer lingo, settings etc). i'm playing non GOTY and dont have mods installed
never mind, found it on the galaxy page- of course the one place i didnt look (slaps head)!

use to happen xD
how do i shut off the overlay & or cloud saves?

my game isnt running right. textures not loading properly, inventory items not appearing correctly, fps stutters.

today its really noticeable for some reason. the only thing thats different is a new driver & the update to galaxy.
MSI Afterburner is a known application to cause issues with the GOG Galaxy in-game overlay, where the result is that the overlay is not available. We will be working on resolving this issue.

On the other hand the stutter in TW3 is not an issue that we've noticed during our QA test both internal and with public beta testers. It would be very helpful if people who are experiencing this issue would post their DxDiag reports (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/instantanswers/b319762b-f281-41b4-b746-d14de804b246/open-and-run-dxdiag-exe).
I had the same problem. Game was unplayable; tried lowering settings and still nothing. It was like game creates commands chain instead of reacting here and now.

Thank you for this sollution. It helped. I disabled overlay and cloud save, graphic backed to ultra and everything now go smoothly.

Thank you for looking into the MSI Afterburner matter.
After burning up a 400 Euro GPU, cause of a faulty fan, I am paranoid with checking temps 24/7 in every game i play.
If im not able to do that i just dont play that game, for any reason.
