So, I finished the DLC, upgraded my gear using glyphwords and none of them carried over. "Normal" runes on boots etc., DLC weapons and armor still do. So be warned!

(That's a shame though, because I spent the last 15000 for the runewright-upgrade after every other quest was done, just for NG+-preparations.)

Maybe it's not a balancing choice, but a glitch and it will be patched? (Please. :) )

Whoa... where did you manage to get all that money?
I've finished all the contracts and I can only find crap to sell, so up to now I've only managed to gather the 5000 crowns needed for the basic upgrade...

By looting gear and selling it i guess i get about 3K for each nearly overcumbered or overcumbered run.

I mainly sell the yellow swords off of enemies, the Flaming Rose Knights for example.
And I watch out to sell stuff to the right vendors: Armor to armorers etc. They pay more.

Damn dude, I was just about to do that. Finished my second playthrough on a new save and was about to make New Game + for the first time. That could've been a disaster!

Do you know if the runewright is still fully upgraded though?

after the 15000 he is fully upgraded

man I cant confirm this but if so thats lame to not count those towards ng+

oddly the runes are all quite... sad and most are just for fun, not really useful

but still they should carry over!

cant really have fun with it when im floating around with monsters that cant hit me and they float when killed and stay hovered midair, idk

It doesn't. It's completely useless to upgrade him in Vanilla-NG, if you are going to NG+ soon.
Save the money for NG+-upgrades.

That really, really SUCKS. I was excited to go into NG+ with all my upgrades. Ah well, maybe by the time I get to the runewright in NG+ they'll have it fixed. Because that's a lot of crowns for nothing.

well I did speak to cdpr
they did state that this should be patched soon along with many other bugs,
as these should carry over if they are in your inv and esp on your equips!

hope that helps but for now its a waiting game for patchin

but again CDPR stated, we are aware of the issue of the runes not carrying over to NG+ and we are working to address this and many other issues surrounding the new 1.10 patch and hearts of stone dlc issues.

BTW odd thing, on skelige islands there is a .. idk flying drake? its lvl is like 60!? its been there since forever, just north of the end cave where you go teleport to other realms on an island a guy wants books. there is a hidden treasure which i cannot defeat the monster even at lvl 40.
anyone know what that treasure IS?
