Is there a way to jump whil in attack mode? I am stuck on the Blindingly Obvious quest when I have to sneak up the stairs to Philipa and jump the gap, but I am always engaged in attack mode with her throwing magic at me? I just keep dodging. Any way around this or is this a glitch/ bug?

No idea if it will work, but in theory the Roll and Jump key can be rebound separately, without editing text files.

So rebind Jump to an unused key? Just for that quest?
No, not that I'm aware of. Once you enter combat Geralt will only roll around. Maybe you can walk up the stairs, or maybe try to lure her out?

Good thinking, I'm gonna see if this would work. I'm not on this quest yet, but there have been a few times I'd rather have jumped than rolled.

Hmmm, do I try it out myself?

Do I wait for a possible reply letting me know?

Do I prevaricate and post idly about it?

The third choice I think :o)

So you already knew it didn't work? So why even sugest it?

No, I hadn't tried it. I thought it would work. Based on the Jump and Roll moves separated in the in game rebindings, I thought it would work. I guess the rebinding problem has struck again? I've no idea how though. What happened?

Solved? Sweet. I'm curious, what did the fix do?

It added a command line option in game that when active made Geralt default to normal movement mode. involved a series of file edits to the BIN file system and .INIs before loading the game again.I have since been able to complete the game.

Wow, that's really cool. I'm glad you could finish the game. Thanks for letting me know.

I looked for this as a mod, but couldn't find anything (that might just be me though). Is it even a generally released mod? Or is it a personal fix that you or someone whipped up? :o) Just wondering if there is a link to it's development and if the fix is 1.04 (and beyond) compatible?

The mod I used was user made, but did work and let me finish the game. It seems to be compatible with all versions. I found it on the link to dropbox. I do not know where else it is hosted.
