I was told to post my game questions here.
I bought the Witcher 3 on line. I loaded it and it loaded the GOG 32 bit client. I have a 64 bit system.
When I go to Play, it says I’m missing the mfc140u.dll file. I checked and it’s on my pc. I went to load the 64 bit version and It didn’t like that idea. Can I load the game, the delete the GOG client and play the game?
I’m on my 5th reload and running out of patience
That file is part of Visual Studio. Perhaps the file on your disk is for 64-bit systems while the game wants the 32-bit version?

Microsoft offers Visual Studio redistributable packages for download -- pick a 32 bit version. It has been a while since I did that, and not for the Witcher game, so I'm not sure about this. At least it is something to try.
