Hey guys,

So all of a sudden I've ran into this problem lately: I can't launch the game
unless I reboot my computer and make sure Witcher III is the first program I run.

If I launch, let's say, Google Chrome first, and then I try to launch Witcher III, my computer will display
the loading cursor during some seconds, and then... just nothing...

The weirdest part is that when I bring up my Task Manager, I can see Witcher3.exe
in the processes list. The application seems to use around 200 000 K of memory, but the processor use rate
stays at 0%.

Does anyone else have this problem? Where could it come from?

PS: And of course, each time I exit the game, if I want to play it again, I'll have to reboot my computer first...
But I've never had this kind of problem since the launch of the game!

If you are using Galaxy you could try this:

Q.: When I start the game nothing happens, but I can see the application running in the background.

A.: There has been a solution circling around that worked for quite a few people, thanks to Hycinthus:
1. Uninstall Galaxy
2. Open command line (Start->type "cmd" -> right click "cmd.exe" and click "run as administrator")
3. Type sc delete GalaxyClientService
sc delete GalaxyCommunication
4. Go to //gamedir\bin\x64 and rename or delete galaxy.dll
5. Launch the game, an error message will pop up, but the next time you start it everything should be fine

Do you have adequate security protection, and have you performed a *complete* system scan for viruses and malware?

Nope, even after doing these steps, I still have the same problem =/

I'm going to do a complete scan with Avast, Hickory.

EDIT:

Nothing from the antivirus... And it's the only game that does this. None of my other GOG games are having troubles to launch from Galaxy =/
