my main problem w/ this game OTHER than the lack of effing is, the best looking gear so
far (i just got lvl 17, i havent yet been to skellige about to go after a cpl side quests) is what geralt wears at the beginning!!

we have some gambesons that are good looking in a gay way , & some other armor, i cant remember what it is, but it looked ok but was just terrible...now afaik skelligs got some kind of viking thing going on im gonna be honest that shit doesnt fly w/ me.

have u found cool looking armor that is actually even close to decent?? i am wearing cat school armmor right now and tbh it looks like it was stolen by geralt hes popping out of it it doesnt suit him at all, i will try to get bear school ASAP but, im gonna be honest, doubt itll look very good. seems CDPR really jumped the shark on this on e.-

Cat school armor looks awesome once upgraded to enhanced and above, especially on mastercrafted. Same goes for rest of the witchers gear.

I kinda like the first-level Cat set... Geralt can kinda pull the sleeveless look. (That said, any set reminiscent of Raven's from the first game? That was an awesome-looking armor, that.)

But yeah, I didn't like the first-tier Griffin set, but the enhanced set looked much better put together. So there is that.

I'm still using the starting armor jacket, haven't found any good looking armor yet i'm lvl 15. or maybe i haven't looked in right places.

thx, i havent found any upgrades yet so i just assumed these were only stat differences. looks like i have to be lvl 20 for that set so i will try for that after i get the bear set.

I'm still scratching my head because they didn't include the wolf school as an armor set. That makes absolutely no sense. Everyone keeps saying you start off with it, but that doesn't make any sense because you can't upgrade it. I also wish you could upgrade your starting gear because it looks great. Only takes about an hour to go from looking like total badass to a carnie.

49.49 bucks on it being a dlc.

Better be free DLC. I've also wondered if they are deciding to put wolf armor in future expansions.

I have to say I did not like the starting armour very much. Too clean and sleek for my taste.
I mostly like the regular army gambesons, especially the cavalry ones.

i agree, the witcher armor looks best.

damn gabeson armor looks like crap. so does the bounty hunter armor, looks like a bloody street bum

cat school lv 1 was the coolest of the 3 versions IMHO

lv 1 cat school sidecut+ponytail and fullbead. motherfucking badass :D

It's pretty much guaranteed they'll give us full Wolf gear as a DLC. Probably even a free one.

As for cool looking armors check out the Themerian DLC set:

A word of advice: forget about stats, use what looks best. W3 is not a fricken Diablo. You can parry, you can dodge, you can deflect arrows, you 've got Quen. Just learn the moves of your opponents and you won't need any armor.

PS. Cat school techniques is the most overpowered skill in RPG history. Just use any light armor for +100% critical damage. And it you can get it as soon as you fing your fist shrine.

The simple answer is no. Game didn't suffers from lack of cool armor.
