Hello,
I recently installed game and when i start playing it runs fine for a short time (5 minutes or so) but then suddenly freezes. I can still hear sound in the background and i can even make certain commands, but then it crashes to desktop.
I have followed many instructions on support site but none of them seem to work. I have already reinstalled game, closed Crome, run it on different graphic settings etc....
I hope you can help me resolve this problem because i honestly wanna play this game. :)
Best regards
about 5 minutes and than freeze sounds a bit like cpu or gpu is overheating. so at first i would check this.

Hi,
I got the same issue. During fight game crashes. I can't move Witcher and the game logic stops. I hear sounds, can enter menu etc. but still game doesn't run anymore.

Now it happened third time during fight in Dun Tynn battle.

Could anyone advice please.

Thanks
for me in both cases it sounds more like a hardware problem than a problem with the game itself because its not crashing exactly at the same action. that makes it very difficult for us to say something.
of course it's possible that there's another software or driver randomly breaking the game, but i wouldn't start the search at this point.

the game needs much harddrive-, cpu and graphic-card power. so while u play the temperatures are getting higher plus at fights or running for a while it has very much harddrive access (means higher hd-temperatures too). so my search-priority would be at first temperatures of cpu, gpu, harddrives and motherboard chipsets because that's what changes when you play.
there are many freeware-tools to *record* all the temps, so you can check it later. using the alt/tab-keys to switch between game and desktop isn't very helpful to read the temps cause they are going down in less than 1 sec.

I also got this. As other have said, it's your hardware.

It's all about ensuring your airflow from your fans is not impeded.Clean filters. Remove obstacles such as books ect.

You can also turn down your frame rate to 30FPS. (Most Hollywood films are under 30 fps. There's a lot of nonsense talked about FPS.)

Plus turn off all the Post Processing options. And set the crowd to low.

These will help enormously.

To play any advanced game you need a decent system, properly set up.

Some might suggest water cooling. Frankly, its a load of expensive hooey that looks a lot better than it performs.

However, to repeat Hickory:

Hello,
sorry for late reply but i am very busy at work.

Asus Rampage IV
Intel i7 4820
Nvidia 780 GTX Ti
16GB DDR3

This are my specs. Guys from cdprojekt red support advised me to perform a clean boot to determine the source of problem. But tbh i literary have no idea... They also told me to uninstall all previos versions of drivers and install latest. I will try this and let you guys know if it helped.
Best regards

1. What settings do you have in-game?
2. What programs/apps do you have running in the background?

I asked for details of your system to make sure it is up to the task.

It is.

You can try a clean Boot but make sure you keep your personal files. It may sort out your problem.

Look forward to hearing how you get on. If it doesn't sort things out then there are a few other avenues we can certainly try.
Good day I have a problem with the task. Sesame open. with the ladder in the hut at the herbalist. It is not up to them to go up and I can not continue the game. Thank you for answer

Think this needs a new thread.

Interesting question though.
