I just purchased the official Sony DS4 module for PC. When connected via Bluetooth/dongle The Witcher 3 doesn't recognize a controller at all. Connected via USB it not only sees the controller but sees it as a DS4 controller. Everything works then, even the light bar when you get low on health. The bottons prompts are for the DS4 instead of XBox, etc. Works perfectly.

I have tried the following ways to get it to work properly:

1. Official DS4 dongle from Sony: Nothing, can't get any button presses to register. PC shows it's connected but nothing inside The Witcher 3.
2. DS4Windows: This works but the botton layout matches that of the XBox controller which isn't ideal. I like the Playstation layout a lot more AND the button prompts are all for the Xbox. This makes sense as DS4Windows is just a wrapper that makes your PC think the DS4 controller is a Xbox controller.
3. Bluetooth to Windows w/ Steam open: This works, somewhat. With Steams new (beta) support for the DS4 it allows some things but isn't fully fleshed out. The Witcher 3 sees this as a PC input and changes the UI elements to reflect this. I could manually move the button configs around but all prompts are still for the keyboard and the lightbar doesn't work. Not ideal.
4. Bluetooth to Windows w/ Steam closed: Nothing, PC sees the controller just fine via bluetooth. Even sees it as a generic controller but TW3 doesn't even register that it's there. Appears TW3 doesn't have support at all for generic controllers.

With that said, seems the only way to get DS4 support is via wired. This is far less than ideal. Anyone know if CDPR has any plans to fully support the DS4 controller via regular Bluetooth or via the official DS4 dongle from Sony? Something as simple as allowing you to change the UI manually to reflect DS4/Xbox buttons instead of it automatically choosing? Would love to see officialy support via an update especially since it's already there if using wired. I assume it wouldn't be hard to add detection for Sony's dongle and for the game to be able to use it.
Same problem. Works wired, not visible wireless. DS4Windows works, but as fake Xbox controller...

Any solutions?
Is there any update to this problem?
