I installed the retal version from DVD and it was running fine.
Than i saw the temerian armor dlc in the galaxy client and downloaded it.
When the dowload was finished, I clicked on the dowload details button (that small magnification glass) and it opend the dowload folder. The folder only contained one install exe, which also had the right size.
When I tried to install it, it showed a message that not all files necessary for the installation could be found.
So i canceled the installation and after that my entire Witcher 3 installation was gone.

Im currently reinstalling everything from disc again.
Probably not trying to install any dlc again.

What did i do wrong? Or is the dlc installer just broken.
dude i just came on this forums to post about the same shit...
Have a look at the sticky thread about the DLC, it will show you how to activate it.

Don't download the installer through Galaxy, it seems to be downloading the executable for the Witcher 3 installation. If you want the installer, go to the account page on gog.com and get the installer that way.
I saw that topic. But unfortunetly it was a little to late for that.

Hopfully some people get this warning. This is a realy evil trap.
I had exactly the same thing happen this morning......
Yeah that was fun least it installed quick oblivious like other people "oh dlc download" just checked files today galaxy one is like setup witcher 3 wild hunt and some some numbers the one off the site is like witcher3 dlc1 and some numbers.

Inccorrectly linked file on galaxy even though right file size :/

After reinstall for me game started crashing haha updated graphics driver no change so restarted pc seems fine now hopefully.
Yeah, I have also just fallen victim to this. Spent 50 minutes installing from disc, downloaded the patch and DLC, installed patch fine but DLC says missing files. Find my install wiped. Here goes another 50 minutes....
Exact same thing happened to me. Recommend this be added to the other thread about DLC activation as it is a bit of a trap.
Same thing here. Game is all gone after this stupid DLC trap.

I had the game installed with DvDs, so I hadn't used GoG. I wanted the haircut and armor set as of today.
It made sense to me that this DLC should be like all others (Aka download from GoG like the desktop images etc etc). But clearly this file was a full installer and made no sense. I thought maybe it was a mis-labelled patch... oh god was I wrong.

This is retarded and should be REMOVED from GoG to prevent other people from having to re-install the whole blasted thing. if that's now how it's suppose to be installed then get rid of it or at least give a better warning that it could and will remove your whole game if you intsalled with a hard copy.

It's a week-day, I work tomorrow and was looking forward to playing and now it's time to go through the 4-dvd installer again. Seriously, that's fucked up.

I did the exact same thing, including canceling it, and none of my files were deleted. Did you actually START the installation and then realized "oh wait maybe I shouldn't have done that" or something? For me once it popped up the screen saying it wanted to install the entire game I thought maybe something wasn't right...
