Any reason why cat duration was reduced? 3 mins for superior and less for lower verions

I am not looking forward to my next play through when standard cat only lasts 60 seconds, going to make exploration an absolute pain.

I think you should split the difference, the duration is too short in my opinion now

OTOH, it's a pain to leave a dungeon under the effects of Cat and have four or five minutes of wandering around in bleached-out landscape. Scylla, Charybdis.

Most dungeons are only dark enough to need Cat for a small portion. It might not be so bad.

There is a potion that cancel cat potion effect and can be used outside dungeons....

WTF? IMO this is total BS!!! Waaay to short amount of time to wander the dark!!! Even the previous games had longer duration!!!

Actually, I've sometimes deliberately used Cat outside of caves, because it makes it easier to see the red for Witcher Sense (as all the distracting colours have been bleached out).

And I personally loved the long duration. Especially in some caves, I've had to use it 2-3 times (before the patch).

- purchase/collect torches!
- slightly change the gamma settings.

Just wait/meditate an hour outside of the cave.
