After a long time, after all those gwent missions, all those npc random card even after completing Collect'em All Mission and several hours later when I quit my gameplay and exited to GOG Galaxy, there was NO Card Collector Achievement. Damn!!! Yes I've completed Collect'em All mission. But nothing. I'm doom now. -_-

Edit: I've got the achievement by loading the save file before I completed the quest.

Achievements on Galaxy are borken. Some do unlock, some don't. This client is still in beta stage and something may not work as intended. I wouldn't worry about them right now. Completing "Collect them all" quest is your achievement.
You can actually miss on winning all cards. From searching I found out that the game has a card drop RNG system, and some of those cards, are extra repeat drop cards (usually just 1 extra of a few certain common cards) that do not have any effect on the achievement. Also, there is a finite number of drops in total you can have on your playthrought. which means that you may play for example too many games with opponents with only.. say 3 of the card decks, and by the time you get to the point in the game where you can play a decent number of vendors using the deck from which you're missing a card(s).. well the game no longer allows for those card drops to occur.

In short to get the achievement the only 100% guaranteed way to aquire the achievement (since you are just as likely to fail on 2nd or 3rd playthrough) is to use the console enabling mod and add the missing card(s) your self via command.

Yes the duplication bug with Gwent cards can stop players from getting the achievement but Mitnth has completed the quest Collect'Em All which means the requirements to complete the achievement have been met.
As LameWarrior has already mentioned for some players the Galaxy client & it's achievements are bugged, modding your game which has the potential to cause more problems is not a guaranteed fix.
I got an extra Poor F***ing Infantry, but I got the achievement nonetheless.
basically between GOG galaxy being a buggy pos and the developers of witcher 3 having an even buggier pos coding for their game I wouldnt worry about the achievement...i spent hours upon hours collecting all cards down to the last random one only to find out its bugged and hopeless...even with patch 1.08 i finally got the "collect em all" quest to complete but cant get the final random card I need off a website checklist i've been doing the whiole time (griffin card to be exact)..nor does the achievement pop on GOG. Also to note the npcs dont drop the card or loot..just blank nothing when I win even if it was the first time playing them..total slap in the face. This games a buggy mess and too frustrating for completionist. *gives up*

Considering the scope of the game, does the fact that an achievement for the card game not working mean the game and/or cding is a "pos" buggy mess?

I understand a little frustration with the bug. But people seem really caught up on this achievement stuff. Did you not collect all the cards if the achievement doesn't pop up on your screen? I mean, come on.

so what you're trying to tell me is its suppose to be acceptable for achievements this big and takes this many hours to complete to be this broken and bugged? ya ok buddy...maybe if this amateur staff actually did bug testing and didnt just make people pay full retail price to be lab testing rats then 6 months later there still wouldnt be this many bugs with their game...quality assurance and frustations in triple A games are running amock. Its quite pathetic what corporations are getting away with releasing to their paying customers...maybe if they just axed the achievement altogether people wouldnt be complaining this much..but there are ALOT of completionist out there that only play these games that are fun to them to finish up the achievements..the games lose their flavors fast and the achievements help to add longetivity to them. Dont blame the consumer for such poor coding, customer service/quality assurance...blame the corporations that are ruining the gaming experience and making it only about the bottom line and releasing broken product after broken product in hopes it can be patched at a later date (see the flurry of 2014/15 triple A games that released this way). Imo whole industry just needs to tank for their piggy banks to become affected. Maybe then they could get back to giving a fun WORKING game at launch instead of rushed broken products they cant even fix where sheep like you make up excuse after excuse like "no big deal". This took literally HOURS upon HOURS x 20-40 to copmlete, was suppose to be fixed in a patch 1.08 people waited MONTHS on and this is what I get from tech support:

to me
Hello,

I'm sorry about the issue with "Card Collector" achievement that you encountered and thank you for the feedback. Our development team is currently working on the fix for this issue.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

-------------------------------------------------

So now I'll get to wait more months because these kinds of bugs wasnt found prior to launch...and believe you me if this wasnt the only bug I wouldnt be half as mad...but with this game its been bug with this quest, bug with that quest, cant clear this marker, or that one....cant finish this treasure hunt...oh that teir 4 skill doesnt work as described its bugged, oh the only combat is roll and quick attack because of lazy development not putting more effort into coding for the combat/parrying/skills. But it was hyped up in the commercials to be SO MUCH of something else, until you unwrap it and get to what corporate rushed it to be. So ya, its a combo of ALOT of frustrations at this point and bigger problem is, its still one of the better games of the year...complete garbage games coming out in 2014/2015, slap in the face for gamers..think im close to retirement from my what used to be fun hobby thanks to corporations RUINING it.

Ooooooo k then.........

No, but seriously, just poking fun. Like I said, I understand a little of the frustration, but I think that level of reaction is out of proportion. CDPR has demonstrated they are a good company and I am willing to believe that they attempted to fix it for everyone, but just honestly failed/didn't encounter what is causing your glitch. (If you recall, they pushed back their original release date from Feb. to May so they could fix bugs. Also, if you consider the whole witcher 3 beyond the card game/achievements, it is tons more quality/value for your dollar than is standard in the industry.)

im sorry are you talking about the watered down combat system where tier 4 magic is garbage and not worth investing the points even with mastercraft griffin (max intensity), max mutagens giving 10% boots, max skilll points towards intensity and still does crap for level 4 magic...so basically your stuck doing roll and quick attack because parrying doesnt work, strong attack isnt balanced...bow isnt balanced...magic isnt balanced. I know not of this great development team you speak of lol...they know how to take a great unreal engine 3 and bug the hell out of it and implement a crappy loot system, crappy combat system, buggy quest system, with a decent story lol. They really suck imo...wont be picking up their next game honestly. This one is watered down kiddy garbage and buggy as hell.
