Quest does not complete after the last step where you have to find the dead man's hiding place.

Quest states "Search the dead man's hiding place using your Witcher senses". I found said hiding place near the haystack as the note indicated, looted the glowing red chest and the quest did not complete. Quest is still in my tracker and can't be completed.

I hope they patch it soon so I get can get this out of my quest log.

Very minor bug that will be side stepped for a while,as they have bigger bugs to fix.

That's fine I guess. Not game breaking. Thankfully I haven't run into any major bugs yet. That's the only one that's really annoyed me.

The chest is not the hidden treasure. Read the note... The guy was hiding near the haystack for a reason.

Incorrect. The chest IS the hidden treasure and the quest is supposed to complete once said chest is found. See this video for further reference.

Incorrect? Really, watch the video. about 5:35. There are 2 chests and a maybe chest. Chest in the hidey-hole requiring a key, not the quest objective. Chest under the floor of the burned barn, not the quest objective. But as the note says, the man who was tortured and burned was hiding near the haystack in which he hid something. That is the quest objective.

I still don't understand how you can't see that the quest is supposed to complete once you unlock, open and loot the half-hidden chest under the haystack at 5:45 of the video. Glowing red chest is found under the haystack, glowing red chest is unlocked, contents of said glowing red chest are looted, quest completes. I mean it happens right in the video in exactly that order. This is how the quest is supposed to work and this is how it DID NOT work for me. Same steps followed, different results. I really don't understand what point you're trying to make.

Hmmm weird I have the quest marked as complete in my list.
I do remember having a problem also with having it marked properly but then I did something that made it disappear. Sorry I can't be more helpful, can't remember anymore :S

I, too, thought my quest was bugged, as I could find nothing in the haystacks when I went back to check after reading this thread. Then I went around the back side of the biggest haystack, and Witcher senses highlighted a small red chest sticking out the back of it. I thought I'd gone all around, but hadn't apparently. Quest completed, thank you!

There is a chest hidden in the back of one of the large haystacks...this completed the quest for me. Can only see a tiny corner of a chest sticking out of hay, use witcher senses to help find.
