After talking to the contact at Crippled Kate's, the game goes to a black loading screen and stays there infinitely. I tried loading an earlier save, going and doing every single other mission I had left, and verifying integrity of cache. Nothing seems to work, the same step in the mission leads to the same infinite black loading screen.

Any tips, or am I stuck waiting for yet another patch? It doesn't matter where I load my save from, once I approach this quest it has the exact same bug. Sucks that it had to be a quest so close to the end, I should be long done with this game by now.

These sort of crashes are caused by your system being pushed too far.

Improve your system and reduced the load.

I have this problem also. My system specs are not the issue.
CPU: Intel 9900X
GPU: RTX2080Ti
Memory:32GB DDR4
Storage: 2 X 1 TB M.2 SSD
I have tried everything I can find on the internet regarding this bug. Even on CDProjekt website.
Only thing left is to start a new game.
I'm not using any mods nor console commands.
There must be a solution.
Regarding turning off Yennefer clothing dlc, how is this done in GOTY edition?
I don't know if they are active or not.
There is nothing listed in Gameplay under Options for any dlc.

From what I can tell online, no one has found a concrete solution. Some people report that it has to do with the alternate look for yennefer DLC, while others say it's something about your character.

My system is more than powerful enough to run the game, so that's not the issue.

I've pretty much given up all hope on my save file. If anyone wants to look into it, be my guest. Something that could be useful is that under the dlc folder in the game installation, the alternate look for yennefer DLC is the DLC4 folder, and deleting the folder deletes the DLC from the game.

Things I've tried that have failed:
Enabling V-sync
Disabling V-sync
Enabling "alternate look for Yennefer" in options then going back to a save before the start of the mission
Disabling "alternate look for Yennefer" in options then doing the same thing I mentioned above
Re-installing the game
Switching from GOTY to non-GOTY game versions
Re-installing the game
Deleting the DLC folder and verifying the files
Installing a mod that lets me use console commands and using the "cleardevelop" command to reset the player
Running the game with integrated graphics (surprisingly playable, actually)
Deleting the DLC4 folder (alternate look for yennefer,) loading a save before the mission start, and replaying the whole thing.

Again, if anyone has any ideas, please clue me in.
