I lifted the curse, talked a bit with the lady, let her stay in my house as a cook, and she told me of a dowry in on of the barrels in my basement. I find the correct barrel and open it, and there's nothing in it. I know there's at least supposed to be some cash and a Gold Stick of Joy trophy. The quest won't finish until I pick this up, so the quest is now impossible to finish.

Anyone had this?

No, you got that wrong. The barrel is not in your basement, you have to go back to Trastamara and search the wine cellar.

I'm replaying TW3 BaW atm and finished this quest this weekend. No problem at all.
Could be a damaged install or a mod that's causing issues.

Everything else is fine, just that quest, and seems it's a bug that other's have had as well, if you believe google. Also not using any mods.

Did a quick google search and couldn't find anyone else with that bug. Several discussion about the closed door in the cellar. You loot the key for that if you kill the spotted wright.
If you use Galaxy you could try to repair/verify your installation.

Unfortunately. Haven't played the game in a while, so it might have been fixed since then, but I could check in later.

I'm having the same issue as well. Open the barrel, and nothing came of it. The quest remains open. Driving me nuuuuuuts lol.
