I have studied and developed all (12) mutation. My strengthened synapses are indicated as 4th (maximal) level but the fourth slot for additional skill is still blockaded. Why?

It's a bug. Hopefully it will be fixed in the first patch.

There is already a thread for this: https://www.gog.com/forum/the_witcher_3_wild_hunt/mutations_skill_slot_bug
Try this bugfix: http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1625/?

1. So what if there is already a thread?
2. I wasn't the one to ask for a fix, so why reply to me?
3. Why use a script, which can lead to more troubles than it's worth, to 'fix' what will be patched?

Sorry to have bothered you. I am new here. Will try to shut up in the future.

There's no need to "shut up". Just be mindful that replying in threads is like having a conversation: you only reply when you want to address the person you reply to directly. Everybody was new once upon a time. Hopefully this is just a lesson learned well. Don't take it to heart.

Though Hickory tends a bit to the rude side from time to time, he is right: to fix a real bug best wait for the next patch, hoping your kind of bug will be solved then.
If you use a mod for the actual version, this mod needs to be updated to work with the next patch from CDPR, and mods often are only poorly managed (long time between updates, if any at all).

Direct, not rude. I call it like it is. I'm never intentionally rude. If people with delicate sensibilities see that as rude, that's not my problem, it's theirs.

Thanks for information. As usual I'd preferred to ask for response than make a research on forums solving an annoying issue.
Nevertheless I'd rather wait for a proper patch than use the script, especially now, when I know that I'm not the only one annoyed. ;)
This game is great anyway.
Take care and don't argue. Life is to short. Stick to your swords and good luck on a trail. :)

Next (official) patch is in the making ("they" promised to include the rest of the real, still present bugs), so your wait might not be that long ...

PS: I never argue because I know I am right - mostly :)
