Have to apologize for the title but it was a little hard to simplify my question. There are a number of mods I've got my eye on as possible "Got to have it!" kind of mods, but the one that most definitely draws me is the one "All Quest Objectives on Map." However, the Mod itself was last updated 30th of August, 2016 @ 4:34 PM and while I'm having some trouble figuring out the exact Patch / Update history for Witcher 3 for Windows, there's definitely been a few in the time since. I'm wondering if the community has some information on Modding the GOG Version (GOG Galaxy Version if that matters) of Witcher 3 and could either offer some tips, redirect me for better information or at least let me know if they feel the mod is even worth the trouble of setting up and installing it. I am aware there's a sort of Patch - Unpatcher that downgrades the version from v1.32 to 1.31, but I'm still working out the loss & benefits of doing such.

Apologies for slightly scatterbrained post, quite a bit of information to still take in on my own part so any and all answers welcome! xD

I play it almost vanilla, though there's 1 mod that adds some convience.
Crow's Perch and Hattori Fast Travel

Not a mod, but can be handy: Quests and Gwent Checklist

Cool, thanks @HertogJan! I'm also going pretty vanilla as it's really my first time on PC (only did a tour on X Box previously and it was a roommates X Box so yah). But looking to the future ;)
W3 is a game I don't think about modding very much. For me at least, it hit an almost perfect balance of content and representation already, but I have been interested in mods that will say, level up armors like the Temerian light you can get at White Orchard, or reduce the annoying tenddency to only find cool gear that is five levels below your own- that's my only real criticism, and while I understand it is to promote crafting, sometimes I don't feel like doing that.

So I'd suggest mods that do those things- reduce the chnaces of worthless loot and increase the chnaces of uselful loot, and one that scase up various equipment that otherwise doesn't. Perhaps a mod that give Geralt more skill slots, but official expansion does that as well.

version 1.32 isn't that different, but a lot of mods work better with th 1.31(A) version of the game

I think if you are interested to start modding by yourself you can begin from this:
https://forums.cdprojektred.com/index.php?threads/modding-the-witcher-3-a-collection-of-tools-you-need.64557/
the forum is from the developer site.

or just search the nexus site for more easy way to add mod that already exist.
The mods I find absolutely essential are:
Preparations which goes with
Friendly Meditation and
Complete Animations Together, they allow you to make the game so much more immersive and hardcore. Like you shouldn't be able to open your inventory in the middle of a combat and apply oils and drink a bunch of potions simultaneously - use only what's in your pouches and wait for the corresponding animation to finish :) That's the way it was implemented in The Witcher 1. The best thing is the mods are completely configurable through in-game settings.
Also I use some minor gameplay tweaks like "Food and drinks aren't potions", "Custom timescale", "Sensible Map Borders" and of course "All Quest Objectives on Map", which you've already mentioned.

Everything works fine with my 1.32 build.

Only using two mods:

1. HD reworked project: the unofficial HD texture pack. Really worth it with no performance loss.

2. Hud Close cam: brings the camera closer to Geralt during exploration, like the over encumbered camera. Personal preference and takes some getting used to.
One I forgot to mention in my previous post: Live Bestiary
3D models of all the different creatures with exception of the Djinn and Daphne.
