Man, I hope some DLC features him as a main character. He was a great character in the 2nd witcher, and really could only be of benefit in the 3rd

Yes. I wanted him or Saskia to be relevant in The Witcher 3 in the same way, or at least similar to, Vernon Roche was/is. So far, the only benefit I found to having taken the "Free Upper Aedirn" path was a free pass into a warehouse for a side quest.

That said, I've heard Iorveth's voice actor playing so many minor characters with similar levels of vocal bombast. I wonder if the impact would be lost on us? I doubt it. Roche's voice actor also plays many minor roles, but I don't know if any of them have any conversation tree sequences, whereas the Bloody Baron's sergeant does and Iorveth's voice actor played him.

Still, felt a little bummed that choosing Iorveth's path over Roche's path in The Witcher 2 leaves you with comparably far less follow-up in The Witcher 3 than the opposite choice.
Yup, him and Saskia both. Was a real let down not having them in 3.
Saskia and Iorveth were not introduced in the main game for obvious reasons. Aedirn has perished under the boot of Nilfgaard. They could not play any role in the main plot for logical reasons. They probably fled after loosing the battle. Huge chance we will see them in the upcoming expansions.

Personally, I did not like Iorveth and doubt that I ever will. He seems to be fanatical and blindfolded. However, I wouldn't mind meeting him again. It might be very interesting.

Yeah, I miss him. I would like to see him dead by Roche's hand. Too bad the game doesn't import if you won against him during Roche's flashback.

I mean, I get from other posts that Aedirn was probably crushed by Nilfgaard, but at the very least you'd thing Iorveth and Saski would escape and be relevant during a certain castle siege
really? No one else here took iroveths path in witcher 2?

I took it in my third gameplay, but I didn't like it. Besides, I don't think that Geralt would go with Iorveth anyway.

I feel your surprise. I got the impression that Iorveth's was the "true" path when playing through; it seemed that Roche was being set up as a narrow-sighted racist / fanatic.
I took Iorveth's path in TW2, and now that I am reading the books I feel that Geralt would indeed have gone with him. He sees the true monsters around him, not just ugly beings, but people who act monstrously as well. Iorveth was not a monster, he was fighting to save his people. I was really hoping he'd show up again, even if only so he and Geralt could throw some friendly insults back and forth for a short time.
What the Squirrels are doing in the games is wrong and it's all about vengeance and hatred. There's nothing noble in what they do.

The elves already have a home, now, in Dol Blathanna, ruled by Francesca Findabair. Territory granted to them by Emyr himself. They don't need to fight the humans for survival.

The Squirrels are still around just because not granting them asylum in Dol Blathanna was a condition imposed by Emyr. He wants them out in the wild and to continue on attacking humans because it helps destabilizing the northern kingdoms and weaken them so they can't stand strong against Nilfgaard's conquering spree.

So, no. I don't like Iorveth, nor any other Squirrel.
But I don't like Roche either.
I choose Iorveth's path last time around because I never had the chance to explore it before.

Played with Iorveth the first time, actually currently playing with Roche before moving on to The Witcher 3 because I heard you get greater benefits for importing a Roche save.
They apparently indicated that he's dead (through some random NPC chatter; something about lots of arrows sticking out of him), so I wouldn't hold my breath for an appearance in the DLC. Saskia, on the other hand, would be a welcome addition. I also wish Sile had more screen time. Sure, you could kill her off at the end of 2, but it's not like the game is entirely loyal to your imported save anyway. A real loss since I found her to be one of the best characters in 2, and her personality would have been a great contrast to Keira's.
