Can't understand the value of collecting herbs and other ingredients? Even with full inventory of this crap some things i need to buy and even if won't have a thing everything can always be purchased from the alchemist. Moreover, it would be logical if the brew spent these herbs, but no, it takes them only once and then only the alcohol is spent.

My opinion - alchemy in this game is broken and gathering herbs is senseless.

p.s. remember alchemy from Morrowind? Interesting complex thing, where you could generate some unique potions, and you really needed to search for ingredients, that was a special quest if you wanted to be an alchemy expert.

People complained about having to collect that stuff over and over again, so they simplified it for W3. And there is a difference when collecting herbs - you don't have to buy it/no money spent.

I think it's great that you collect/buy stuff when you need it and once you have completed the desired formulas, you can just stop. It wouldn't really add much to the game if you had to be a herb collector forever. Especially in a game that's already so massive. I'm good with it.
I say go back to Morrowind if you like the Alchemy so much there.

Don't come here and try to change something veteran fans of The Witcher series like.
the alchemy system is fine by me too, but those small red mutagens drop so rare, that i even think it's a bug. i've spent almost 150 hours in game, and i have many blue and green mutagens, but i still need 13 red mutagens. Maybe it's really a bug?
