Hi, I'm having a problem with GOG Galaxy. The thing is that I have The Witcher 3 GOTY Edition and everything was fine until after a while without playing I changed my PC and I installed the game again.

Now, in this PC, when I unlock an achievement, it is not been unlocked in the 'GOTY Edition' of the game, but in the normal one (although this is not the version that I bought). For this reason, the unlocked achievements percentage is not changing and the achievements are not appearing in the list. The syncing is fine so I don't know what may be causing trouble.

I attach a screenshot where it is showed that, since I installed the game as I said, the achievements are unlocking in the normal version of the game. Also I attach two more screenshots where you can see that the normal version of the game is not in my library.

Hope anyone can help me to solve this issue. Thank you in advance.

I have the same problem. I tried to do a specific achievement, but it would not unlock. GOG Galaxy just refused to do so.
By coincidence, I viewed my feed on gog.com and saw, that it was in fact unlocked. But when clicking on it, it was for the old Witcher 3, which I technically not own.

Can this please be fixed and in the mean time unlocked achievements be merged?

From the achievement history I can see, that this bug exists at least since June 4th. Unlike @mungrot I did not reinstall the game, it happened just after a few weeks of a pause between may and june.

My situation a bit different. I have the wild hunt complete edition.
Ever since the v4.03 patch, my achievements unlock inside the game itself, I see the notification at the top explaining which achievement was unlocked. When I go back to the GOG Galaxy Witcher 3 page, the achievement is not registered there. So since v4.03, there have been at least 5 achievements now, that have shown in the game unlocked, but not registered in GOG Galaxy.

So this has not been fixed yet?

not yet. the only option is to roll back to previous versions of the game

I did a rollback but my already done achievements are not transferred/synced back to GOG. Does this only help for upcoming unlucking, or is there a possibility that the missed achievements gonna be synced again?

Sometimes it feels like GOG doesn't care about their own platform. How is such a bug left unfixed for so long? I mean, CD Projekt Red is part of the same family but they support other platforms better it seems.

Hi, i have the same problem.
After a long time, i decided to play TW3 again. Some achievements already made years ago.

Two days ago ich got a popup ingame for achievement "Bombardier" (collect recipies for 6 bombs ingame). After closing the game i saw on GOG Galaxy, that the achievement Bombardier still wasn't unlocked...
Popup came ingame, but on GOG Galaxy the achievement still unlocked ??

Could be possible, that i got more achievements, which are also still unlocked, don't know.

Otherwise, i also got popups for chievements, i already completet years ago - so i got a notification again.
Anybody a clue, what's wrong here ? Did anybody of you get a feedback from GOG if that will be patched ?

See the pictures in attachement. No.1 shows, that i got achievement "Bombardier" - no.2 shows on GOG Galaxy, that this achievement is shown as still unlocked...

P.S: I'm using GOTY-Edition...

I have exactly the same problem. In my complite version there is not even one achievement unlocked, but in a history of my profile I see that some achievements were unlocked, but in a version of a game that I don't own.

This is what you get for buying their own game on GOG so they can get more money instead of buying it on steam... =)

The developers at CD Projekt Red are working on a fix that will restore the proper functionality of the in-game achievements and we hope that the fix will be introduced ASAP. [/i]

In any case, it's annoying that such a bug has still not been fixed so long after the release of the "next-gen version".

And that, when Witcher 3 is one of the most important "babies".

Yeah, but at least they are aware of it. Hopefully a fix is out soon. I remember reporting a similar issue years ago (a bug in Galaxy with The Witcher 3 achievements stuck at 99% after unlocking them all). Guess what? It was never fixed.

I wrote to the support again - they wanted to unlock my Achievements. Nothing happened until now.
It looks like the achievements will be unlocked in the "old" classic Witcher 3, but not in the GOTY edition.

This is a disaster from a motivation standpoint. I thought now that the next gen version is out, I'd finally start my walkthrough...but I guess nothing will come of it.

Without a doubt, TW3 looks better now, but a lot of things don't work as they should - half a year after release...

Has anyone of you ever made the "step back" to a version before "Next-Gen" and knows how to do that ?

The achievements now unlock in the Complete Edition of the game instead of the original, but sadly you need to unlock them again. I don´t know why they did not fix it faster. Must be frustrating for people that played when this was an issue, specially achievement hunters.

Same problem I have
When I spoke with GOG support two times, I was told to give them the achievements names, so they will unlock it for me, and I did that, but I didn't receive a replay. Now I haven't played in two months, and this is my first game in this platform, not a good experience I tell.
