Hi Guys,

Slight problem, I play the Polish language version (with English subtitles, after playing TW1 & 2 with Polish Audio and English subs I can't play any other way) and instead of going through the gog galaxy interface as usual, this morning I clicked what I thought was the Launch Icon (in Polish) from the start menu.

It of course was the uninstall, and because I wasn't paying attention, I uninstalled the game. And it seems, my saves.

Does anyone have a save file from just after the Ladies of the Wood quest (but before you speak to the Bloody Baron again??)

Not too bothered about the level Geralt is, or what his equipment is, or how complete anything else is, I just don't want to have to play all the way through from White Orchard again, as I'm quite invested in the story.

Hopefully someone out there can help!!

Thanks :)

Have you had a look at My docs/thewitcher 3/game saves?
That should still be there.

Already tried, I think I may have also accidentally clicked a 'Do you want to delete your savegames' prompt :(
In that case I don't think there's much you can do. Still... on the PC/Mac there are programs you can use to recover deleted files. Those are easy to find. But often that doesn't help that much for uninstalled programs.

Actually just tried a couple. No good sadly. Just gotta hope someone has a save file, and is kind enough to let me use it.

Oh well, back to the beginning then

Bugga.:-)
I have uploaded my save files at:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9WaTrZJgCpRNlVqdzBsWnBhdTQ/view?usp=sharing

Take a look through the early one's, they may help.

However, it may be better to start over since your decisions do count in the story (will most likely be different to mine), and I will have completed different quests to you.

Anyway, they are there if you need em.
I have a save just there, standing right in front of the Baron. Skipped most quests, only went to Skellige for the superior Swallow and Thunderbolt potions, full Griffin gear and some coin to spend. I can upload that if you still need it.

Thanks everyone, I managed to get one from the official forums that was fairly similar to mine, working off that.

The Witcher 3 is a non-linear game, so even if someone does have a save game from after the Ladies of the Wood quest, they could have completed that quest much earlier than you, or much later than you so you wont end up where you were in the game.

Game uninstallers always default to leaving savegames and other user generated files intact unless you click on "yes, remove every trace of the game completely including my save games". Did you accidentally click uninstall and then accidentally click "destroy my save games too?" :) If so, that's unfortunate but your only option would be to use undelete software such as Norton Utilities or similar and only then if the files haven't been overwritten. Outlook: not good.

I know, thankfully the person I got it off had completed largely everything I had, only they had done more contracts and secondaries so the level and equipment were higher, but the main game progress was largely similar.

Forgot to mention in that first post, I also clicked what I assume was a 'do you want to delete your savegames' dialog...also in Polish :)
