Nothing really to this post (and I don't have the willpower to start over) just a way for me to vent/cope/grieve lol without typing in all caps and flipping the table and cursing cd red so badly even Geralt would have trouble lifting it.

Anyway for the others who had this problem how far in did you realize it?

How did you figure this out at the 45 hour mark? Are you saying your W2 save file import did not work?

yeah it looks like I didn't work for me :/ and I got suspicious after talking to triss (just got to her) and something seemed off.

I did some searching found out I already should of ran into letho (went back to the save of the mission to run into him) just to check and he isn't around so thats how I figured... but if letho is bugged and I just happen to be wrong that make me really happy lol.

And good about the chuckling at the comment kinda what I was going for ...also the idea of it makes me kinda feel better lol

edit: any one know a console command that would allow me to do letho's mission? (without breaking the game)

Seems like the game is using the default choices (e.g. Letho being dead). I'm not really sure if my save was correctly transferred either, but my save was pretty close to the default choices anyway.

I don't think there is a solution to your problem, other than starting a new game of course.

What are the default choices? (besides letho being dead) while this kinda kills my enthusiasm I been having with the game... I mean its still fun but ugh

played witcher 1(first time) and w2 (third time but first time on pc) while I saved up for a pc that could run w3 finally get it on the 22nd of this month and I excitedly start playing the game and this happens >.<

I hope cdpr thinks about adding a way for players who import saves to know if its the right one just a simple journal entry or something

Yeah. A note in quest log or something would be nice, so that you know your choices are right.

I only realized when gog ate my game completely and I started again with the simulated option, 2nd time choices firing properly...

I realized about 30 -40 hours in; I was finishing up with Novigrad and decided to see if I missed any side quests worth doing and i realized I didn't get the "Letho is alive" part of one of the quests. Like the OP, didn't feel like restarting just for that - just disappointed.

Are you sure you imported the correct file?
They are not shown in order.

I could have sworn I picked the right one (went by date / last auto save made) but maybe I misclicked in my excitement I don't know.

but like I said in my other post it would be nice if cdpr adds a note/journal entry so you could tell.
