Well, i just needed an oil for my silver sword, and since i had never tried this one, i decided to craft it! Well, i press control, go to alchemy, choose the recipe and press enter. I choose 1 quantity, click the tick, and says it was made; it is also displayed as a greenish fluid inside a glass, teapot like vessel, just like any other oil geralt creates or already carries on him. But, when i go to where the oils/runes/enhancements are, it is nowhere to be found. And instead, when i go to where my potions are being stored, i find a "Healing Brew", which i sure as hell never created, and it cannot be created in main story as far as i can guess (it was a tutorial exclusive which you give to the wounded man and never again find it or its recipe, plus it's pretty useless and inferior to swallow too).

What is wrong with this oil again? Each time i create it, it says it is done, it is nonexistent, and in its place, i always find a healing brew in my potions' inventory space. How can i make it? Is this a problem only for me, or other people encountered it too?
I just checked this on a saved file, and also got a healing brew instead of whirl oil. I looked through the list of fixed issues on the readme file and this issue is not mentioned.

Sorry OP, maybe you could use Rook potion or make Falka's Blood- both offer 10% sword damage, and they are a potion and oil respectively so you could combine their effects for greater damage.

Edit: Not saying that this issue shouldn't be fixed, but it's better to make Falka's Blood instead of Whirl because the latter oil uses more of the relatively rare-type ingredients, ie Whirl uses both Scleroderm and Bryonia, whereas Falka's Blood only uses the Bryonia.

You've certainly got a point there. Others too suggest that, or choosing the enemy specific oils... Excluding that, most other alchemist recipes i tried seem to work as intended (although i have never crafted each and every one of them).

I really missed crafting fisstech though, and i got somewhat pissed off at how hanged man's venom changed and no longer poisons your weapon, but at least there is no error in them. Fisstech is no longer craftable and the venom has other effect.

I am playing Witcher 1 right now, and I can't wait to try and give fisstech as a gift. If you already knows what happens (even if nothing), don't tell me :)

No, don't know anything about gifting fisstech. I think only one npc receives that, and i think only per storyline quest, but won't spoil. I only know what happens in 1 when you drink it, and in 2 when loredo's ma throws fisstech powder in your eyes... Just don't drink the damn thing near hostile beings!
