just started a new game from a reinstall to play through the different path and for some reason i started with loads of items in my inventory, i didnt realise this until the second bit of the tutorial where your in that shed place and i suddenlt got equiped with a blue stripes jacket when before i was wearing the beginning gear. Anyone else had this?
wow at the bit where i suddenly start weraring a ble stripes jacket, this happens even if i delete all the stuff in my inventory. then everything miraculously appears again!

Yes, it is related to your active DLC's, and whether you had special, importable gear equipped on the save file you imported from TW1. The behaviour of them reappearing magically, is specific to the Prologue. Each story part of the Prologue reloads your equipment. The behaviour will stop once you reach Chapter 1.

It's simple to deactivate DLC's that automatically add equipment to your inventory. The files you need to tamper with are all located in your installation directory; The Witcher 2\Cooked PC. Look for the files alchemy_suit.dzip; magical_suit.dzip; roche_jacket.dzip; swordsman_suit.dzip. Each of these add, automatically, various powerful items to your inventory. Removing them from the folder is all you need to do in order to deactivate them.

ah ok, thanks for the info though there isnt any other items that appear other than the blue stripes jacket and mages trousers which i think you get sometime in chapter 1 as well as lots of extra alchemy stuff.
edit.. ah yeh i get it. alchemy_suit = the extra alchemy stuff roaches jacket is the blue stripes and the magical suit is the mages trousers etc.

Yes, exactly those. Swordsman_suit also adds a bunch of oils and weapon enhancements, just so you know.

thanks yeah dont mind dlc in general but adding a bunch of stuff in your inventory that your supposed to get later is kinda dumb and was confusing at first lol
