Broudo: How do you fire the ballista in the Barricade quest, please? I've loaded the balista at least 10m times, probably closer to 15. Each time i load it, the castle defenders attack. I'm not reaching the part where the ballista is fired. No idea what I'm doing wrong. I've tried standing behind the ballista, not to right or left. Same result. The timer doesn't start at the beginnning either. It starts closer to the end. All help is appreciated.
Once you jump down into the courtyard, you have to run up a ramp, next to the tower you want to destroy. You will need to kill 3 or 4 defenders on the way. Up there, you must kill 2 or 3 more defenders including, crucially, 2 archers. If you don't he will attack you while you go for the ballista.
Now, back down the ramp and kill everyone you can find. Remember the archer behind the first wooden barricade.
Once he is dead, you will be attacked by 3 soldiers from the area of the ballista. Kill these.
Then kill the archer behind the other wooden barrcade.
Now kill any stragglers.
Click on the balista and press the key repeatedly and quickly, to cock it.
Now you get attacked by another wave of defenders. Kill them.
Go back to the ballista, click it and press the key again. This time to aim it.
Another round of defenders.
Now back to the balista. Click again to fire.
Bask for a few mins in your glory.
Remember, most important. Keep an eye on your red Vitality bar. If it goes down, wait a few mins to let it recharge. In this quest, there are a number of points where this is possible.
