SovietSharkey: Is there any more news on the official translation of these books
love the games and would love to see the books get translated (the fan translation is great but I personally prefer paper copies of books)

cjrgreen: No new news, and I doubt that translates to good news.

The English-speaking press has a bad case of unwillingness to take risks, caused in no small part by gigacorporate ownership. (Gollancz is owned by the €8 billion (milliard) a year conglomerate Lagardère Group.)

Difficult translations of an author little-known in the English-speaking part of the world are the sort of propositions that the minions of publishers answerable to an enormous corporation are not going to want to stake their positions on :(
I have recently read that it is being released in April however I have a feeling that you are correct about publishers
if so then that is a very sad
Amazon.ca now shows December 27, 2012 as the release date. As long as i've been waiting for this I could have learned a new language and read the original by now.

I know, right? It goes to show that even book publishers over here suffer from "mainstream-itis". If it doesn't read like other best-sellers or is from an author that North Americans might not have heard of, they don't want to take risks. Hence why Sword of Destiny isn't going to be published here.
Now it looks like it's been pushed back to July 2013.
It would be damn quicker to learn polish at this rate.
Or just go here and read them all translated (Lady of the Lake is still in progress)
