yogibbear: Quickest way to get a few more FPS:
-turn off AA
-turn off SSAO
-turn shadows to medium
-turn any other filters off 1 by 1 until you reach acceptable frames.
-definitely turn off uber sampling.

This should allow you to hit your current res and max textures to your liking while giving a better performance than what the default "optimise" will likely give you. Then if you think it's running fine, turn on 1 thing at a time making sure it remains stable. Best to do this test in an outdoor map.
Saddly with everything off I don't reach good framerate. Windowed mode is really the only thing for now. Gosh, now I am a sad panda for being an early adaptor :(
I had the same problem. its uber sampling. Turn it and vertical sync off and you should be dandy.
Turn off v-sync to fix your mouse lag issues.

^^ See here.

Your GPU can't run Crysis Warhead at > 25 fps. @ a std resolution in gamer quality.

Need a better GPU if you want to run it at high.

For reference, I have:

Q9450

Game runs fine (~40 fps) on high @ 1920x1080 with no AA, no uber sampling and SSAO off.

Talazemico: Okay, I need an straight answer here.

The game recommends me to play it on high, and when I do, I get about 25 FPS, very, very bad performance, mouse lag, all sorts of lags etc. When I play it at Lowest I get 20 FPS. This can't really be my PCs fault? Right? I mean, my specs are over recommended and I can't even play it on low? I'm not the only one with these problems.

Are these specs 2 low or should I just wait for a patch? (Yes I tried the new drivers, disablind 3D etc etc)

Quad 2.8ghz
GeForce 250GTS 1 gig
8 gig ram

I've been waiting for this game for 3 years now, I've tried to ix it for 4 hours now, I've tried everything. What's the next step? In the meanwhile thewitcher.com forums are down and no word is given from the developers. I mean, come on? Im starting to regret i bought this.
I'm in the same boat as the OP, already tried newest beta drivers i just need to uninstall 3dvision as a last resort. Performance is atroicious regardless of graphics options, even worse on the low settings, especially indoors.

Sysspec:
I7 920 @ 3.5ghz
6gig ram
Nvidia 480 GTX @ 900mhz core.

And yes i DO know what the different graphics options are, Ubersampling IS disabled. Other options have no real effect performancewise.

I'l give up the game for a couple of weeks and play arcanum instead if 3dvision uninstall don't work. Wish me luck
I agree.

The game suggested low settings to me at start, and I can push it all the way up to medium with more than decent performances. This, with a computer that is below the recommended settings.

timeaisis: OK, so I know for a fact the "recommended settings" is out of whack. The game recommends low for me, but I can play around 35 fps on High. So don't follow the "recommended" settings. You need to be playing on Medium with that card.

Anyhow...yeah some cards don't work well for some reason. I know my friend has a 460 and he's getting worse performance than my 295. Hopefully a patch soon...but until then...the game still looks great on Medium...so just try messing around.

Also, I've noticed on many games today that you can play some things on High if you just turn off shadows. There's a crazy bottleneck there for some nVidia cards right now. So try that.

Good luck!

I tried it and it didn't work for me either. I then tried installing the beta drivers and that also didn't work.

Are you retarded? I wrote in my first post that I tried several methods already without success. GTFO Troll.
Yeah, I came here asking for help just to NOT TRY solutions, right.

I have the same issue, my system maybe just not be good enough to handle it but it seems to me to be better then the minimum, speccs are GT 230 1,5gb, 8gb ddr3 ram, Intel Core(TM)2 Quad CPU q9400 @ 2,66GHz 2,67Ghz, Windows 7 64bit. I have tried everything, put everything on low and disabled everything, uninstalled the 3d drivers, installed the new beta driver without 3d. The only thing that seems to work is to put the resolution on pretty low, 1280x720 and lower, but the text in the game pretty much becomes unreadable at those resolutions. Maybe it is my system, but I hope there is something wrong with the resolution optimization or something that will get patched so I won't have to buy a new computer just for the game:p

I gave you like 20 solutions on page 1 and you basically just said "NO IT CAN'T BE ANY OF THAT!".

Anyway, hugs and cuddles.
