pardon me if this has been asked before, my search turned up nothing here.

i assume due to gog's style and coolness that the witcher 2 we are pre-ordering directly via gog.com is going to be *THE* one true version - that is to say that it will NOT be censored should some countries have cut versions of the witcher 2.
the 1st withcer was censored in usa/australia and some other places. i, like many others have had to get the uk version to enjoy a "full" experience as intended by the developers. since this game is also coming to consoles i'm already a bit concerned as to the eye candy situation. but that's another matter all together.
so in conclusion, an answer from a gog employee on this matter would be the most welcome. is the witcher 2 from gog.com going to be totally uncensored should some/any retail versions have be censored to meet specific countries laws.

We got reply from someone at GOG that GOG version will be the same everywhere around the world, but didn't say anything further then that. (Name of the tread was Germany)

Also remember, that CDP did put up a patch for the retail version of W1 removing all censorship.

Unless of course you consider translating from Polish to any other language (except for Russian) a kind of censorship ;-) We have that many cursewords, and they were generously used throughout the first game. Translating all of them would sound very off.

Well In all honesty that thread does not even answer the question. It was just a general answer that still leaves us asking if it does or doesn't. Personally I would like to know if this will be uncensored myself as to rather I should order it from here or from somewhere else as I like to actually have a copy of the game.

I remember reading that in the Polish version of the first game, there was a line something like, "Why do humans hate dwarves?"
"Pricks go in cunts. You don't ask way, it's just the way it is."

Well, the version I have (which is not the pansy US version, it's the worldwide one I guess, since we ban games almost as badly as Germany), had plenty of swearing and sex and stuff in it. However, I think if the game was filled with lines like the above, I'm kind of glad bits were rewritten. I like to think that despite how badarse Geralt is, he still has a touch of class. If it was the odd line here or there, then sure leave it, however if half the dialogue was "You're a cunt shit tits fuck dick bastard cock face", then edit away.

The line "Your mother sucks Dwarf cock!" Still makes me giggle though. =]

Not just the Polish version, that line, from Zoltan, is in the English version too and most likely in every version.

I'd assume however that with the EE patch and corresponding language patches available to everybody that line is now present in all versions.

Actually, i just played through that bit a couple of hours ago, it's in CH1 when the subject of the Scoia'tael comes up and Geralt asks Zoltan why humans hate nonhumans so much ;)
