I have a somewhat complicated question. Also, it's information that I think the community should be aware of :)

So, I have The Witcher and The Witcher 2 both on Steam, and on GOG.

I downloaded and played The Witcher through Steam. In the game folder (../steamapps/common/The Witcher Enhanced Edition/) I found some extras like the soundtrack and a guide. I also found, in the "Digital Comic" folder, a Digital Comic.exe which was the interactive "The Witcher: Reasons of State" interactive comic book (it's awesome, by the way).

I then went on GOG, but this comic was nowhere in The Witcher's extras. I couldn't find anything more about this comic online.

I then went on GOG again and looked at The Witcher 2's bonus content. There I found "comic book (50 pages)", which was like the Digital Comic but in PDF form.

Additionally, the digital comic from Steam was only the first part of the comic. The PDF from GOG contained the entire story.

So, my questions are:
1. How come the Steam version of The Witcher has bonus content that isn't on GOG? That's kind of very strange, considering how GOG are always awesome in giving all the bonus content.
2. Will we be able to get the complete digital comic (both parts of the story) from somewhere? I believe the best place would be under bonus content for The Witcher 1 or 2.

Bonus Mistake:
On The Witcher 2's bonus content, the comic book is listed as being 50 MB, but the actual download is only 6 MB. The digital comic in Steam's folder is 500 MB.

Thanks in advance to anyone who'd like to reply.
The interactive version is also available on the iOS app store for free, but it's as of yet incomplete. Since they're working on new games at the moment, I'd be surprised if they finish it anytime soon. Or at all, honestly; it looks very much like something that was planned and then abandoned while it was still half-finished. Seven months of silence after the "to be continued..." doesn't inspire much confidence. Not saying it's impossible for a second part to be released that finishes the story, but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.

I suppose no one knows the reasons for the Steam and iOS exclusivity of the digital comic aside from CDPR themselves, though things like that tend to boil down to the politics of digital distribution.

Wow, seriously?

I have a physical copy of The Witcher EE, and GOG extras usually have better quality (mp3 and PDFs), but some things apparently are exclusive to each version.

I'm thinking it might be just a mistake. Or at least they intended it to be exclusive but it wasn't written anywhere.
