This quest popped up in my journal during the Royal Blood quest, after the mob tried to lynch the prince. The journal directed me to talk to Cecil to learn where Olcan lived..so I did, and Cecil said he'll mark the location of Olcan's room in my map. However, I don't see it anywhere on the map, nor do I get an arrow pointing me on the right direction.

Now, since I started to get a little frustrated, I actually went and look in the game guide, and the quest is not even mentioned there. I searched the internetz, including this forum, but to no avail.

Anyone knows what's going on here?

I think something is wrong with that quest. I'm playing retail version and got a little farther than you, but after completing the nightmare and thorak quests it says walls have ears is failed. but it says failed because geralt decided to focus on more important matters with saskia dieing, only this is after healing her. :(
I think it may be slightly bugged in that it doesn't show on your map. but it IS completable. I had to click random doors till i found the right one. I don't remember specifics, in that little human area I think. THEN, there is a sidequest to complete which furthers the information you find.

back in a bit, gonna go check the location of the house. hope i have an appropriate save after my save game purge

eta - yeah, it's the brown door behind the tents. Geralt will comment about a 'strange aura' when you enter.

It's by the tents by the main gate. There's a dead end to the right and the marketplace and entrance to Vergen to the left. Go to the last door in the dead end.
Thanks for the responses. I'd remember it for the next playthrough :)

I find it funny, though, that the quest is not in the game guide.
I found the slave and then Olcan's house. Then when I returned to the mob, the cutscene was triggered, forcing to choose between declaring Stennis guilty on the spot and a fair trial later.
I chose the trial, the dwarves led the prince out. "Wait for events to unfold"...

Then I completed the quest "Thorak: Suspect", and "The Walls Have Ears" is automatically marked as failed:
"The designs clearly implicated ... as accessory to ... yet they did not solve the mystery as a whole. Geralt's investigation was still open...
...Since ... the time was of the essence, the witcher had to drop the sluggish thread of the goblet and concentrate on the mystery's other aspects."

Does anybody here have "The Walls Have Ears" marked as completed? Do I need to complete Thorak's quest strictly before the lynching scene for that?
Or is finishing "Thorak: Suspect" somehow closes this plot line, even though we didn't discover anything new here compared to the finding at Olcan's house?
It cannot be completed. The quest is broken.
Yeah.
I completed Baltimore's Nightmare before the lynching scene, then condemned Stennis to death, and it was still marked as failed.
sorry for the slight necromancy here, but in case anyone is wondering, the quests do mark as complete at certain stages, but then are re-marked as failed when judging stennis (either way).

i completed it yesterday (walls have ears ) , and the house of Olcan is indicated by an orange arrow in my game ( the house on the right , when you enter Vergen by the main door , behind the tents ) , i gained a full level completing it

But , i had completed Baltimore's dream beforehand (so the quest "suspect Thorak" never appeared in my journal ) and i had not healed Saskia yet at that point , here's a proof :
